When my son said he wanted this for an early Christmas present, I cringed. It looked cheap, like fake gold. I was almost embarrassed at the reactions he would get from others...who could obviously see it was fake as well. I only see this used as costume-and I do mean as a part of a 'costume' jewelry. Not to worry, the plating is already beginning to wear off after only two weeks, so hopefully it will disappear in a month or so.

Looks good but the links are hollow so the chain has a real cheap jingle to it.

It's not too yellow like most "fake" gold, but this is my 1st gold-filled item and I like it. it has good weight and it looks good.

Looks like the real deal amazing. Had it months in pool and ocean no signs of wear. Lightly clean with mild soap and water
