Masterfully Written
This was truly an amazing book. I have been fascinated by the life, philosophy and art of Corita Kent since I was in college. This book is powerful, insightful, and is extremely well-researched and masterfully written. Many of the gaps and questions that I had in my own mind about Corita Kent were cleared up in this book. At the same time, I am now more curious and fascinated by Corita than ever before. I have already read this book twice. I will probably read it yet again. Kudos to author April Dammann for this beautiful work of art. I recommend this book highly and unequivocally. Dean Leh, M.A., M.S.Ed., Fordham University.

GO CORITA!
This is a vibrant account of Corita as a woman artist whose work and life are inseparable from the context in which she lived. April Dammann intertwines her artistry with the three sweeping movements of the 60s and following -- civil rights, feminism and the changing Catholic Church. CORITA is a biography, a history book, an exquisite art book -- and will stir the hearts of all who were with her during those tumultuous times, as well as introducing her brilliant work to a whole new generation.
