I no longer use any other kind
Yes, these are cheap. Yes, they can break. Yes, there IS an odor when you first open the bag, and you might have to let them air outside overnight. With all of that said, I still love these things, and no long use any other needles, and I knit OFTEN.What's wonderful about them is that they're cheap enough that you can have several sets, so if you want to start several projects, you'll always have the right needles. And if you want to make some huge circular thing, you'll have enough needles to go all the way around your project. And if you happen to lean on one and break it, oh well, you have others. The bamboo offers just enough friction that you don't need any caps to put on your needle points. After a few rows, they get nicely polished from your wool. If you want the points to be a little sharper, just get out your nail file, and give it a little touch-up.After several year, unfortunately, the tubing will tend to become hard. But again, they're really cheap! I would much rather replace these every few years than be devastated because I broke an expensive Addi Turbo, or something. I like to knit in lots of sizes, so it's great to always have the right size available. To store these, I got a bunch of half-size padded mailers, and cut off the flaps. I wrote the sizes on each envelope, with US, UK, and mm sizes, and I store these in an Ikea file box. Easy to find what I want.

Good For the price
I have attempted to use many circular needles as a beginner. The only ones i found usable were Clover brand. and while they are wonderful i believe i payed $15 a pair. I was looking into a full set of circular needles and wasn't quite ready to take that $50+ plunge. I had previously ordered a similar set of Tunisian Hooks and liked them well enough. i wanted to buy two sets so i could do full circular. when i received them it was nothing fancy, but they did come in a zipper bag i am still using as well as stitch markers and things. all the hooks were rubber banded together. non were tangled. the cords are still bent in a u shape from shipping but i havent found an issue. After i received them i peaked at the reviews and found that a few people had trouble with the cords coming off. As a precaution i took a lighter and heated the ends where they connect to the needle. that seemed to not only redistribute the glue but also shrink the plastic slightly and i havent had any issues after about a month of constant use ( if you do this yourself, beware that the plastic melts very quickly and i left cold water running to cool it when it started to get too hot). I have been using a single set of needles and using the magic circle method on mittens. while i think my clover ones are still better, these performed wonderfully. i had very little pulling at seams and don't foresee an issue for beginners.

2 Month Review..For Beginner Knitters
I purchased these because, as a beginner knitter, I did not want to invest much money into a hobby I might not stick with. My order was delivered quickly. The needles were beyond my expectations. You will notice a plastic smell when you first open your package, but if you follow the directions and leave your needles out in the open air overnight, the smell does go away. The plastic smell does not transfer to your project. Also, the added extras that I received were a pleasant surprise. I just love the scissors. These needles are great for little projects. However, if you are planning on using these needles to knit up an Afghan, I would not purchase these because none of the plastic cables are long enough to accommodate the cast on stitches. I just completed a Lapghan and the cable length was good. So anything from a lapghan, socks, mittens or hats would be fine. I really liked the way the needles worked with the yarn. The bamboo feels a little rough on the first use, but the longer you use them, the smoother they are. Using bamboo needles are what I prefer since I am just a beginner. Using these needles, I have NOT had any issues with the plastic cables separating from the bamboo. After 2 months of use, they look the same as they did when I got them. All in all, I would recommend this set. Not only are they economical, they do exactly what the expense ones do. I'm happy!! God Bless!!๐

Lol
I mostly got these because there was a project I needed smaller circular needles for and I figured this was the best price for the amount I got. Sadly I ended up breaking the needle I used so they are not the best quality ever. They also tend to snag on the yarn but that could also just be the set I got. The bigger sizes are easy to use but I would not recommend the smaller sizes as they are easy to snap.
