HYSKORE#30265 J-Frame Tactical LED Light, Black/Grey

I'm completely unaware of Hyskores reputation in this industry but I must say at first glance this appears to be a solid product with easy installation. Additionally, the grip is a little longer than most of it's competitors which allows my 3X+ hands to get all four fingers on the grip. This aids in the reduction of perceived recoil as does the portion of the grip that adds a layer of absorptive protection over the backstrap. These ergonomic features facilitate longer range sessions to aid in mastering snubbie fire. I bought this for my S&W Model 60-3 J Frame that I've had for 37 years. I lent it to a dear friend, who's hand strength is challenged by larger calibers and firearms, while the action was being tuned. I liked it so much that I will be getting one for my S&W Model 6o J Frame 3" too. I topped it off with Glow-ON Green Color, Super Phosphorescent Gun Night Sights Paint for the front sight blade. After installing the grips and painting the front sight blade I turned off all the lights (pitch black room) I turned on the Hyskore light. The beam was bright but, even better, it really fired up that front sight blade -- it POPPED! Great combo! I don't have any information as to the durability of the light or supplied battery but felt it deserved 5 stars as a result of all the positives.

It's far from an ideal solution to the problem of how to keep both hands on the gun while lighting up a potential target. I'd give it a three and a half if I could. If you like to conceal-carry in a side pocket, that won't be possible any more unless you're wearing cargo pants, and even then you're likely to print yourself. However, if your J-frame is primarily for your nightstand, it does give you an all-in-one-hand option for seeing in the dark who you want to target and who you don't. The push-button switch sits right where your middle finger grips the butt, and it's difficult to keep from turning on the light without loosening your grip or even lifting that finger off entirely. (PS: For those few souls who carry a .327 magnum, it fits.)

Worth the money

Great compact attached 100 lumens of nighttime brightness. Also a shock absorbing grip. Nice combination.

Outstanding high quality, very well made item...simple to attach, excellent fit on my S&W 36J, nice bright LED flood light, and works great. Grips fit the hand much better than the stock S&W grips and light easily comes right on when button on front of grip is squeezed with a natural grasp. Very comfortable and well designed ergonomically. The LED is also so bright that suddenly squeezing it on in the face of a perp (or 4 legged varmint) would stun and temporarily blind them...allowing you to clearly see them and be certain of i.d. your target. In addition to defense, home or otherwise, would be very handy when camping etc.
