I really like this soap! I had heard that charcoal was really good for helping to clear up breakouts, and that was the reason I bought this. While I still have a few breakouts, theres definitely less than compared to what I had before. The soap lathers up really nice, and when I rub it on my face, it's kind of weird but I feel like it could almost be a mask-consistency because the lather is so thick. That's definitely not a bad thing though; sometimes I lather up the soap and just let it sit on my face for a few minutes while I brush my teeth or whatever. When I rinse it off my face, it feels so clean and I look so much more refreshed. I love it :)

Hey, Lemme tell you how I love this Charcoal Soap Bar. First of all all the ingredients used are natural ingredients, now that adds to my love for this soap. I had gotten real bad chemical reaction/ burns from using lemon juice on my face , I mean real dark scaly skin burns, thought the lemon juice would lighten the scars on my face. I applied the lemon juice and left it on for like 3 minutes, on washing my face i felt this sting , I thought Ok the lemon juice might be helping in clearing my skin only to realize 30minutes later it did worse than that, looked in the mirror and couldn't recognize my face, face was dark, skin was burnt like inflamed and scaly. My cheeks were much darker than the center of my face. I was so sad that I couldn't even leave the house for a week hoping my face would come back to normal within that time frame. Man, who was I kidding , my face was still as it was even after two weeks then I found out about this SAPO BAMBOO CHARCOAL SOAP. I just bought it to try as I was so desperate.Now that is the one of the best decisions I ever made. I'm glad I bought this soap, I've just been using it for two weeks now, just two weeks!!, day and night and I can see some dramatic improvements. I mean real difference from how my skin was. Clearer skin, bringing my skin tone back to normal and I am so happy. It lathers up nicely , cleans my skin and leaves me feeling fresh and my skin is so soft. Am really happy, can't wait to see what its gonna do in a month. Will be ordering more soon.

I've used a lot of different brands of activated charcoal soap to help heal my adult acne in the last six months, I even made my own to save a few bucks (it was a disaster). So how did SAPO Bamboo Charcoal Soap measure up? Well, I'm not going to buy another brand ever again.....or make my own. Their soap wins, by far.SAPO Bamboo Charcoal strikes the perfect balance between gentleness and effectiveness. It will leave your skin squeaky clean without over drying- they do suggest using a moisturizer afterwards as soap is not intended to add moisture but to really clean your skin. I've been using Pacifica's dreamy youth day/night cream afterwards and so far, just a couple weeks later, I've yet to have a single breakout which is really rare for me. My skin tone is more even. My face has never felt more smooth (all those little bumps are starting to disappear). And my face just generally feels really clean.....something I had been missing. I also like the scent which is super mild.One of my favorite perks of this soap is that I don't need a make-up remover. I use this soap once to remove my makeup (even stubborn mascara and eyeliner melts off without much effort) and then I wash my face again immediately afterwards to really clean my skin. And that's it. Super quick, super effective. I tossed out my oil make up removers (even my beloved coconut oil which I swore by). This soap is truly a winner and keeper.Their customer service is outstanding too. They provide great tips for using their soap and making it last longer.I'd recommend this to everyone- especially those like me with oily-combo skin who is prone to a lot of breakouts.

I really wanted to like this soap. I didn't necessarily dis-like it, it just didn't live up to the hype.. I have small acne breakouts, nothing major, but annoying enough to want to get rid of it which is what led me to purchase this after reading through several good reviews (and ignoring the not good ones). Here's a breakdown of the pros/cons:Pros:This soap did make my face feel cleanNo weird smells, it actually smelled niceNo black tint or anything from the soap (I'm very fair-skinned so this was a genuine worry before using it)Cons:After over a month of using this I saw no improvement in my breakoutsWhile my face felt clean, it was pretty dry after using this soap (even when pairing with a moisturizer)This soap is messy - even with a soap dish and keeping it away from the spray as best as I could, I felt like this soap quickly got messy and mushy

I bought this for my sister to use. Here are her thoughts on it:I bought this because I heard that they used charcoal in hospitals if someone accidentally swallowed a poisonous substance as it absorbs the stuff and that someone I knew used charcoal on their face and it worked in getting rid of their blackheads. I figured it would be something that would actually get all the gunk out of my pores unlike all the other stuff that I’ve used considering that the medical field even used it. My acne looked so much better afterward. I even went several days without using it again after the first use and it still looked good (which is incredible as I have resilient acne). I will note that my skin did produce a lot of oil afterward. I figure it could be one of two reasons (or both): 1) it did such a great job at cleaning my pores out that the oil was like “Freedom!” and/or 2) it cleaned out too much of the oil my skin naturally needed that my body over compensated. Either way, I just put Cedarwood essential oil on to help (which it did) and the benefits of healthier skin far outweighed me having to wipe my face every now and then if I forgot the Cedarwood. My pores even shrank and after a couple uses my skin started to feel soft.
