Painting Heaven: Polishing the Mirror of the Heart

AMAZING is an understatement to describe this book. For parents who are interested in introducing their children to the metaphysical aspect of human nature to their little ones, this is an excellent resource.! A Persian king decides to hold an art contest between the Byzantine artists and a Chinese artist to see who has supreme art skills. While the Byzantines create a phenomenal work of art with numerous colors, the Chinese artist simply chisels and polishes his art piece to a shining mirror which reflects the phenomenal Byzantine art but due to the mirror capturing the light from every angle the Chinese work of art remains supreme. And like the author said when one constantly polishes their heart, their heart reflects the light of God! The age group (5-7) is pretty accurate but I recommend parents to read with their child to enjoy discovering the very beautiful illustrations and content on each page!!! Would love to see more from the author and illustrator. A great gift too !!

As always, the illustrations are breath-taking. The story itself is profound, and beautifully retold in this book. My 7-year-old granddaughter likes the story, but older children and adults can also learn wisdom from this tale.

Such a book is hard to come by these days... lovely

This book is a gem dor every childerens library. Wether muslim or not. The wisdom is universal. Beautifully illustrated. You cannot but love the story.

Amazing book, but a little complex for my three year-old daughter! With time, though, I think it will be a favorite.
