Stratos SCP8000 Polaris RZR 800 5 Single Axial 12V Fan Heater Kit

I installed this in my ranger when I had the plastics pulled off to install the cab seal kit. Easy to mount and hook up with good instructions. The only issue I had was some of the pics in the instructions are upside down and taken at funky angles but with a little thought and a beer or two you can install this awesome heater. Put out more heat than my buddies factory heater at less than half the cost. The only draw back is the heater only has 1 speed. That is wide open. I am thinking about getting a switch that I can better control the fan speed so I can run it continuous at low.The way this heater is set up with the two position switch gives you heat on defrost and the top two ducts or heat on the lower ducts to keep the toes warm. Over all this is a great very complete kit that makes for a clean installation and lots of heat output!

Nice little heater but it wouldn't fit into the RZR Gold Matte without moving the solenoid for the winch and removing a bracket next the throttle.

This heater works awesome, quite involved in getting it in place and hooked up but the instructions are pretty good. I did find that hooking the hoses up to the heater prior to placing the heater in position helped out a lot as there would be no way to slip them on after.

I installed this heater in a 2018 RZR XP1000. Never thought 0f it till I first went out and tried it.. have to get engine temp up to 205 and maintain there due to the engine thermostat has to open and stay open to get hot coolant to the heater system. This heater connections are at the inlet and outlet of the radiator.

I have installed this heater in By RZR 900, it produces heat ok. But It is working better now that I had to order a booster pump, so it pumps more water throw the heater. Witch I had to order it from the manufacture, could NOT get it throw Amazon. This heater should have come with this Pump and a 2 or 3 speed switch for the blower. Because the blow in the cab is very Load, very Load. With the blower going and the engine going, all I could heir is the blow from inside the cab. Will I was 10' away from the buggy running. Yes now with the booster pump and the one speed fan going it is load but very worm inside the cab. But Need that variable speed or 2 or 3 speed switch and life well be great. The install taken be 8-10 hours to install. I had reserved a 3 speed switch and help with the noice level and also the heat if it get to warm.

I installed this heater in my 2018 900 ranger, it is a little bit of work but fits and works very well. I wish Stratos would have designed a variable speed control for fan speed. It’s ON or OFF that’s it. Overall happy and would recommend this unit!!

I’m still in the process of the installation of this unit. As mentioned previously, the instructions are vague at best. I too am short hose clamps. There must be a change in the plastics for 2020 because the template for the front cover cutout does not match the cover at all, so this is the point I’m at right now, I can’t mount the heater valve and run the hoses yet. Waiting to hear back from the manufacturer.
