Solid product if your expecting plexiglass
Frame seems really solid but apparently (buried in an image in the Amazon description), they ship with plexiglass not really glass if the frame is larger than a certain dimension. Shame on me for not noticing... but it is basically a fine print note. When ordering I probably would have gone with a different option since I wanted glass. Maybe even from the same company, I would have rather paid a premium and had glass...

A perfect “hangup”
Everything came on time, carefully packed, and ready to complete. On line instructions clearly explain steps necessary to properly assemble wires and eyelets .

Missing Parts - Undependable and Careless Distributor/Manufacturer
Ordered 2 of these frames. One arrived without its mounting hardware. Contacted Amazon customer service. 2 options, send the huge package back to them or contact the manufacturer/distributor. I thought I'll simply contact the manufacturer and ask them to mail me the 2 small screws and the metal wire that was missing - how hard could it be?WRONG.Kim, the manager at Art to Frames told me (numerous times just to make sure that I, the mere consumer, understood her sophisticated logic - she at one point said, "let me put it to you in bullet points so you can understand") that because I did not purchase it directly from them but rather through Amazon LLC, that she and Art to Frames cannot be held responsible for any missing parts.Mind you, the missing parts in question are two small screws and a metal wire. How much would it cost to manufacture and ship those things? She then encouraged me to write a bad review saying that it will have no bearing on their business. So here it is.Kim the manager, and Art to Frames is a careless manufacturer and distributor who take no responsibility for the quality of the work they perform or the items that they manufacture (and sell). They will even make it a point to speak down to you for 20 minutes to justify why they can't help you correct their mistake. And indeed it is their mistake because the parts are taped to the frames in a sealed box. Amazon never has access to the contents of these boxes.Their policy is, what we sell to other major resellers like Amazon, is not our responsibility because you're buying it from them.We all know of instances where manufacturers will go out of their way to help a customer in need not only by replacing a defective or missing part but in many cases giving you a new replacement item for free!Of course, when I told Kim this, she said, "We're not Hasbro. We're Art to Frames."You certainly are.If companies think that this sort of customer service and lack of manufacturing quality control has no direct bearing on their business, they have another thing coming. We all know because we read the negative reviews.PS When I contacted Amazon customer service regarding this terrible interaction, they expressed complete dismay over the way Art to Frames handled this. Amazon apologized profusely and is sending a replacement frame free of charge with 1-day express shipping. Furthermore, they have forwarded this experience to their business management team and will investigate the way Art to Frames manufacture their items and treat mutual customers. Interesting note: Amazon told me that in fact, Art to Frames IS the distributor of the item. So basically, Art to Frames takes no responsibility for what they manufacture AND what they distribute.

Inexpensive quality look, and great customer service
Over the past several weeks, in a few different orders, I bought quite a few of these satin black frames in various sizes from Art To Frames, and I'm really pleased. They're very inexpensive, particularly when you buy multiple frames in one order directly from the supplier Art To Frames, rather than choose the Prime shipping option. The combined shipping costs are very reasonable, so that even when just buying 2 at once you save quite a lot over the Prime price by buying them directly. And inexpensive was important since I had to buy about 25 in all kinds of sizes. But it was also important to me that they look good, since I was putting the finishing touches in a room we recently spent a lot of time & effort to renovate. The simple black frames were just the look I needed. While the backing is cardboard and the tabs holding it in are cheap, the exterior of the frame (what you see when it hangs) is well-finished and looks high-quality. That's what matters to me. Plus they provide quality hardware for hanging. The cheaper hidden parts are fine with me to save money, since it looks great where it counts. I also bought mats from them for these frames in most cases, and again, they were high quality, cut to exactly the size I requested, and they look really sharp. Also, they're extremely careful with handling & packing - only one frame arrived less than perfect, out of all the ones I ordered, and I would have been happy to keep it as is (it was a small scratch along a side that wouldn't show) but they insisted on sending a replacement. The supplier was quick to put orders together & get them out - it was usually the same or next business day, depending on what time I placed my order and how large. Then, since I'm not far (Philly area), I receive my order the next business day after it ships.I've seen a few comments complaining about the plastic rather than glass front, but these people have clearly not bought large frames before. They use glass in the smaller frames (like 11x14), and some kind of plastic in the larger ones because it's lighter. You really don't want to hang a huge piece of glass on your wall. The plastic has a thin static cling film on either side to keep it from scratching. Do be careful cleaning it once you've peeled that off. I don't recommend using paper towel, but I had a lot of luck with a Swiffer duster.I definitely plan to buy these or their other frames & mats when I need them again.

It's Fine
Just received this today. It came in a surprisingly large box, and was well packaged. The plexiglass was covered in plastic film on both sides, and there were no major scratches. Overall, it works fine. It is pretty light, and the plexiglass is really thin. The finish on the frame is ok, looks like it was spray-painted and there is no attempt to sand or otherwise smooth out the finish.Still, for the price, it is a good frame. My 24x36 poster fit perfectly. Yes, there is some assembly required: you have to install the picture wire hardware. But that is straightforward after Googling how to tie the wire. A cordless drill and a 5/64" drill bit makes it easy to install the hardware to the frame.

decent frame. looks good from afar.
decent frame. the "glass" is a plastic material so i'm not sure why the package it came in said "FRAGILE: GLASS" all over it. it's a little flimsy but considering this is an irregular frame size and your only other option would be to get one custom made, it gets the job done.
