STC Santa Monica Gazebo, 9 by 12-Feet

This is a nice gazebo and was fairly easy to install. There were however a few problems with my shipment. I received the product and conducted an inventory of the components. The manufacturer shipped this unit with missing parts. These were replaced and sent overnight. The overall quality of this item is good, not great, but good. If you follow the directions and fill the posts with 40lbs. of pea gravel, the posts will separate at the seam. I experienced this on two of the posts. To repair this and ensure that I would not have future issues, I installed screws on the seam to hold the seam in place. The roof panels are easy to install however, be sure to inspect the supports and remove any filings that remain from the manufacturing process as they will cause issues with cap installation and leaking. The lower roof panel is attached to the outer roof connector with a single screw. This screw is tiny and will not hold the panel in a strong breeze. I removed these and installed a rivet to hold the panel to the outer roof connector ( a much stronger option). I did have issues with the shipping company (CEVA). The vendor was very helpful in resolving these issues and my concerns.

It leaks when it rains but it's very sturdy and looks great on our patio.

This gazebo is sold at other places but using different names. I purchased this from a competitor. It was installed by a home improvement company to specs. The unit leaks on every joint in the roof in light rain or otherwise any rain. I called the company that sold it and they were willing to replace the roof but the contractor said it is a faulty design. We are going to attempt to caulk it. It is hot as fire under it and contrary to what the photos look like there is one roof. Dark on the outside and white on the underside. It was purchased due to size and color. It looks nice as the photo I uploaded shows but it leaks at all those intersections.As far as assemble time it takes way more than four hours to assemble as there is much work on making sure it is good and level and all the gazillion pieces to it. Two men with good skills and experience took one and half days to prepare the patio and assemble. Due to what we believe is a design flaw I would not repurchase it. I cannot recommend it.The coolaroo blinds as seen in photo do not come with it. I installed them to keep out evening sun.Update:Company paid for our contractor to caulk the roof. They were to take it off the price we paid them. Everyone that visits is impressed when they see it but it is still hot under the roof. Cannot change the rating.

It's a nice gazebo after smooth installation but takes time. It's actual size is bigger then posted.

It's not 9x12 I bought this one because it would fit on my deck and it doesn't !!!!

This is the second Santa Monica for our HOA POOL. Stands up to winds and snow.

I have this and the pros are 100% shade, durability and we added pea gravel in 1/3 the way up the posts and secured it into our concrete. Cons are even though we sealed the top with clear silicone in the gaps it still leaks in places when it rains. Luckily I invested in Sunbrella cushions which allows the rain to roll off but disappointed we are not able to use it when it rains. Also still trying to figure out how to install curtains for 3 sides when desired, tried command hooks to hold up a rod we made long enough but that did not work.
