PU Leather Flip Case Cover for Sony Walkman NW-A55 and NW-A55L Player, with Magnetic Closure Strap and Reinforced TPU Housing + Screen Protector (Black)

This is an attractive, sturdy case for a Sony Walkman. It feels well made and durable, and looks like it will protect the player well.The Walkman snugly fits into a rubber bumper surround that protects all sides and corners. The rubber is quite thick on the corners, so I'm confident it would protect my player if it was accidentally dropped. Rather neatly, this rubber housing also features moulded button covers and a flip open hatch to cover the data port. There are apertures to allow easy access to the SD card slot and headphone socket. This rubber housing is cased in a ribbed, PU leather, book-style cover with a magnetic clasp. Once the case is fully closed, you can still access all of the side control buttons. The interior of the case has a soft, velvet-like material to avoid screen scratches. Chances of screen damage is also lessened by the inclusion of not one but two screen protectors (always handy to have a spare, and useful if you mess up the application of the first protector). They even include a cloth for cleaning the screen, and a card for squeezing out any air bubbles (which I thankfully managed to avoid on my first attempt).My only issue with this case is that the access hole for the headphone socket could benefit from being larger. It's more than big enough for standard headphone jacks, but not quite large enough to accommodate most hi-fi stereo jacks. That probably won't be an issue for most, but could be an annoyance for anyone wanting to hook the player up to a hi-fi system. A cheap cable replacement solved the issue for me.Overall, I'm pleased with this inorlo case and would recommend it. A great, lower cost alternative to the overpriced official Sony case.

The hard external side of the TPU cover has a pleasant tactile ribbed texture, fits like a glove and is very nicely made. It has a good magnetic clasp and the various control buttons are extended through the cover not operated through cutouts which makes the whole thing very neat and robust, it should give good protection. It also has a cover over the charging/data port.I cannot comment yet on durability but so far very pleased.

Adds a reasonable amount of bulk to the Walkman, but remains much more pocketable than even the smallest Smart-phone. Adds very little weight and has a grippy tactile surface. When closed, only the headphone socket, hold switch and lanyard anchor point remain exposed. Just bought a second one as the skin of the magnetic button clasp is starting to go (after four years!)

Fits the Sony perfectly, looks good, offers good protection all round and seems very well made, only had it a few days so can't comment on durability hence 4 stars, but seems like it should last a long time.

I already had my Walkman in an inorlo case which, I now discover, is identical to this one but without a flap on it. I took my Sony to work a few days ago and realised that even with a screen protector fitted I was in danger of doing some damage to the unit from the various sets of keys that I carry in my pocket.So I switched to this version and now everything is safe. It fits perfectly and the buttons all press without much effort, but one word of warning. When you get the case you'll notice that inside, where the player sits, there is a layer of protective cling film. The temptation is to leave it in place as I did initially, but I soon found that if you do it raises the unit up just enough so that the buttons and controls mismatch ever so slightly. Remove the film and all is well.It's a little bit pricey, but there are very few alternatives on the market and so you should just buy it on the basis that it's much cheaper than replacing a cracked screen.

Nice case for Sony Walkman mp3 player, good price, good construction and good protection. Access to all inputs with the charging port having a cover to give better protection.All the buttons are built into the case and work perfectly even the play/pause button which is also built into the magnetic clasp works when closed.

Having just recently purchased my A55 player I wanted a case to protect it. I usually go for leather but could not find a suitable one and I do not think that Sony makes a case. I found this while searching the store and it looked the best of the bunch. Having received it I have been very pleased with it. It offers great protection and fits like a glove. It does seem to be built to last and feel confident that it will give me many years of service. Would certainly recommend for the A55 player.
