I have a BMW 228i (2015) (F22).My phone is a Google Pixel 4XL. On the phone is a rubber case protector.The fit: it fits perfectly into the pictures space.Installation: tiny hex screws secure it to the car. Needs a bit of patience using the hex key provided to make tiny screws tighten evenly along the 4 screw points provided. But once screwed it, the metal unit is very firmly placed on the car. One recommendation for making sure the "ball" that will hold up the phone is tight, is to take a hex key (not provided) and tighten it in the back.Phone: my phone is pretty large (as large as the large iPhones and Samsungs). I stuck the provided metal backing onto my case. I stuck the metal backing not quite in the middle of the phone but a bit lower, adjusting it so that the phone does not black the infotainment screen on the car.Overall the phone holder works, is very elegant and seamlessly placed onto the car.

Perfect fit for the 2017 BMW 330 F30. Good quality for the price, and it doesn’t obstruct too many controls. Easy to install as well. The magnet is a bit weak so I suggest attaching the metal plate directly to your phone case. I'm using this with an iPhone XS and a thin case - I would not suggest this holder for larger phones. Someone should get an award for coming up with such intelligent design. It fits perfectly and it’s rock solid once you hold it down with the 4 tiny side screws. The magnet is strong. Just wish they provided few more metal plates for the phones - it came with 2.

My black phone mount changed colors and is now bronze. Wish it came with extra screws because one eventually got loose and fell out. The magnet holds the phone well though. I’d buy something similar in a different color, but wish I didn’t have to.

This unit is a magnet, sandwiched between a metal ball and the metal plate attached to one's phone. It's a fairly brilliant design for easy repositioning. However, the magnet holds the phone fine but does not hold the ball, with the weight of a (relatively light), phone, at all. It falls right off the ball almost immediately.My fix for this was to pull the magnet out of its casing and superglue it directly to the ball where I want my phone to attach (there goes the repositioning ability). Without the casing on the magnet, it holds the phone better too. I also had to superglue the metal plate to my phone - the adhesive back is worthless.I still like this a lot - it's definitely the best looking phone holder I've found for this car. Just know that it will not work as intended at all.

Bought for son's new 3-series. Works and looks great. Others have mentioned that magnet is too small, but I find it works very with an iPhone X.

The fit is great in the car but the magnet is too week to hold a phone.

Haven’t driven rigorously yet to find out if it the phone will fall out under hard acceleration which seems to be main concern for others. I’m using a iPhone 11 with light case for reference. Under normal driving it stayed in place and didn’t move much. looks nice and clean - Oem look w no logos.
