The Original Toy Company Pinnochio Marionette

I ordered this for a project I am putting together. Very pleased when it arrived ! Really good price and nicely made.

They are so cute. They are beyond my expectations. Well made, arrived on time, and well packaged. What more could you ask for? I want to play with them myself. I can't wait to see the kids faces when they open them up (xmas presents).

There are a lot of plot holes in Pinocchio, just like there are breathing holes in this Pinocchio nose. Ever wondered why the puppet's nose grows when he lies? Of course he lies! He was literally born yesterday and has no built-in morality—his conscience is a cricket! He ditched school with a fox and was kidnapped by a carny! Who's going to believe that story? And if the Blue Fairy has such great mystical powers, shouldn't she know whether he's lying without having to see it, plain as the nose on his face? Somehow, in spite of all this, Pinocchio remains a great story. It has that Disney magic. My town is always proud to claim Walt Disney as a native son. He used to have a paper route with the Kansas City Star, and we like to think a little local creative magic rubbed off on him before he moved westward and created a whole kingdom out of it. We're home to a thriving arts community with galleries, museums, and legendary creative ventures like Hallmark. And just think, without Walt, you wouldn't have this amazing marionette to reenact your favorite scenes with. This little 15-inch fella will dance. And that's no lie!

Nice, well made, good balance but too much for a 6 year old who acts like a 6 year old

My 2 1/2 year old grandson saw a marionette in a book and didn't understand what it was. I went on a search to buy one and had a hard time finding an old fashioned marionette. I found this and bought it. It arrived looking exactlly like the picture and is well constructed. My only issue was that the knots holding the strings to the cross bar came undone too easily but were fixable. We are having a lot of fun with this marionette, so far only the adults are using him until my grandson is old enough to do it himself.

A decent enough marionette. I ordered this for my son who is autistic and has gained an interest in marionettes, we have recently made a couple of our own simple marionettes for him to practice controls with. This Pinocchio came today and he was excited. The puppet itself seems to be constructed well, as far as the body. The legs on the other hand could have been constructed a little better, rather than just cloth with wooden shoes attached, this causes the feet to be less than controllable and very "wild" as they do not face forward, rather they tend to turn outward. I may be able to remedy this with some adjustments to the strings, if so, I'll update this review or comment an update. Other than the feet, it appears to be a very decent beginners marionette. The arms are controlled by one string that is threaded through the center control bar, allowing for basic up and down movements, with some practice, some other simple movements can be achieved. The string for the arms could have been just a little longer for better control, rather than the arms being held up and out at all times. The head of course is stationary, which is best for a beginner level.NOTE: Unpacking can be a bit of a task as the strings are wrapped around control bar for shipping, it will take some patience to unpack and unwrap the strings. This does not come in the box as shown in the seller description, rather it is packaged in a plastic bag and placed inside a standard Amazon brown box. No instructions are with it, this is a hands-on learning tool. I wouldn't recommend for anyone younger than 8 or so, unless they are very patient. My son is 13, and autistic, his patience can sometimes be an issue, but this will be a good tool for his hand-eye coordination.

Very happy with the purchase of the marionette in which we ended getting a second one. The price is reasonable for its great quaility because before we bought them we took some time comparing prices and found marionettes can be really expensive. I saw they also have other characters that we might end getting it later on.

Purchased for a German day celebration and this is super cute and adorable!
