Clearly States Exactly How Much Rice if You Know Simple Math
I am writing this review because of the last reviewer who stated there was no way to know how much rice was in the product. On the container it states that 1.5 grams per serving and that each 1.5 gram serving consists of 1.5 grams of Lions Mane. This 1.5 grams is an exact number. Now the trick is you have to not only know simple math, but also be a bit logical minded. It states "about" 66 servings. You needed to notice the word "about" and realize that it was significant in this context.Since each of the 66 servings is exactly the 1.5 grams of Lions Mane, all you have to do is multiple that number by the number of grams per serving. 66 times 1.5 grams per serving equals 99 grams. Well guess what, you are purchasing 100 grams of product. The 1 gram that is missing is the 1 gram of rice that is in the product.Very simple math and understanding of logic to figure out how much rice is in the product. So there is 1 gram of rice in the product with perhaps a slight variance. How much variance is allowed depends on the Food and Drug Administration Rules on a company adding the word "About" on a product.I wrote this in the comment section, in response to the other review and the comment that states it is 825 mg of Brown Rice per serving, which would be a ridiculously large amount of rice out of the 1.5 grams. This is what I wrote:I have been buying what the United States FDA calls Food Supplements for about 30 years, since I was in my 20s. If every single serving contains a significant amount of both ingredients, then usually on a Food Supplement, it will say a proprietary blend of 1.5 grams, consisting of X amount of Lions Mane and X amount of the other ingredient.Next the person who says it is 825 mg of brown rice per serving, I am pretty sure is incorrect. It clearly states (Hericium Erinaceus) Mycelium Polysaccharides at 825 mg. Polysaccharides are a type of chemical that appears within Lions Mane itself and provides a lot of the medical benefits. The word Hericium Erinaceus is the technical name for Lions Mane, and NOT for brown rice. Basically what the label is stating, is that of the 1.5 grams of Lions Mane, that 825 mg of it, is polysaccharides. Some people do not believe that the polysaccharides provide as much of a medical benefit, and others believe they do. There is an article I found on a google search where some people argue that the polysaccharides in Lions Mane provides the most benefits.Lastly, the reason they would include only 1% of the brown rice, is because it can't be completely seperated in the processing of the product without losing a lot of the nutrients. And the brown rice provides medical benefits. But I see nothing that states that it contains 825 mg of brown rice. The name right next to that part of the label states Hericium Erinaceus which means Lions Mane. Also the dictionary definition of mycelium is a fungus or fungus-like bacteria colony that occurs, such as when a mushroom is produced. Mycelium refers to the fungus itself and not to the brown rice.

My memory improved.
I love it. I've noticed the difference in my memory. However, it will settle at the bottom, so I stir it so I drink it completely.

Without a doubt, buy it now
I first learned about Paul Stammets and his mushrooms in a podcast. My good friend also recommended his supplement based on first hand experience. I decided to try it out, and at first, like with any supplement, I expected to barely feel an effect. I was wrong. You can feel a stimulant effect within the first week. Could be placebo, who knows, but the most quantifiable benefit I received from dosing lion's mane is that my chronic headaches and migraines greatly diminished. That's not an advertised benefit, could be a side effect, but I value it greatly for this among other benefits. Through surface level research I learned that when supplementing lion's mane, it's advised you dose for 2 weeks at a time. Meaning, 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. I'm testing this out now, will update review with findings.Update 12/6/22: I'm now wrapping up week 11 on this supplement and here's what I found. If you take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, it works best. The strong stimulant effect I was feeling at first is mostly gone, and this is not to say supplementing this doesn't sharpen my senses, it does, it's just curved down it's coffee-like effect in me. Disclaimer: I'm hyper sensitive to caffeine!I continue to take it because it helps me feel more comfortable in my ability to handle a tough (mental) workload. It could very well be a placebo effect, but I feel I even have a better attitude about things while supplementing with lion's mane. Strangely, this also greatly lessens my chronic migraines. I noticed that strange benefit right away, and i noticed that when I'm cycling off lion's mane, the migraines don't immediately resurface, but if i begin to go longer than a week without the lion's mane, the migraines worsen back to their normal levels. That benefit alone is enough to convert me into a lifelong customer.

Worked for a while, then stopped
I began using this product about a year ago. I'd thought it wouldn't work, since it was from the root of the mushroom rather than the fruiting body. But since I'd bought it, I figured I might as well take it. A couple of months later, I noticed that a foreign language I was studying started becoming a lot easier for me to grasp and to memorize. In addition, I felt that I was becoming more capable of solving challenges. It felt great. After about three more months, however, the effects seemed to fade. I've tried other companies' brands and different kinds of mushrooms, but the thrill seems to be gone. But who knows? Maybe the thrill will stay around for you; hope it does,
