ACDelco Gold 334-2529A Alternator, Remanufactured (Renewed)

Bought mine in 2018 for a remanufacture it looked like new . 90,000 miles and 6.5 years later still working strong. Definitely a good buy

Fit my truck perfectly, VERY easy to replace

This product should be placed on a subscription plan. I Bought one, it’s about 70.00 more dollars than a standard alternator but the gold sounded like it would be better, the remanifactuted aspect made it 125.00, others are 85.00 new. the ad leads you to believe it’s remanufactured by acdelco or whomever sells it, rereading it now seems like it’s Amazon renewed which means they clean it. Bought one, it died after 13 months , ima fool thought that was a fluke, bought one feb 9th 2023 it died today march 2, 2024. Not sure who remanufactyred these but I’m thinking they need to cleanup their ad to make it clear, if someone qualified to rebuild an alternator is doing it, or is it the same guy that renewed the Amazon fire stick remote control by wiping the dirt off it. If they are infact blowing the dirt off it and polishing the gold pulley this will be the last thing I order from Amazon, if you put your name on it the. By god you better be doing what you say. But it does say remanufactured in the title, whereas Amazon called in renewed because they know they aren’t remanufacturing anything. Hard to tell but gunna call to find out, I’m sure my piddly 3716 items purchased over the last year is small potatoes to Amazon compared to other shoppers but I won’t hesitate to go from their number one fan to a full on boycott, deception does not sit well with anyone.

It didn’t fit so I returned to kohl’s and never received my money back in my card

This was a great unit. Though I'm sure it was rebuilt in the same factory in Mexico as those found at certain chain parts stores (the booklet and markings are the same), this one hadmuch better looking diode and regulators. I returned one to AZ when this one arrived because this one looked better internally. I was on my second "bad" one from there (the smaller case 105A unit), because the diodes or something is just "leaky" enough to very slowly drain the battery. This one keeps an unused truck sitting at 12.67V for weeks which means that the alternator is not draining the battery (as happens when a rectifier diode isn't the best).One star removed because it's rebuilt in Mexico.Note the pulley was black, not the nice gold one shown in the picture.

The original alternator that was installed in the truck when purchased new lasted 215,000 miles and 20 years. This "renewed" Gold alternator from Amazon, remanufactured in Mexico, lasted 2 years and two months and 12,000 miles. The voltage regulator that is built in caused the battery to overcharge, shortening the life of the battery and corroding the positive battery terminal every few months. This alternator is a piece of renewed junk.
