Shimano Stradic FL, Beidhndig, Spinnrolle, Vorderbremse

I already had a Stradic Reel which has never let me down. This new Stradic FL is just an amazing reel. So light, smooth and tough. It looks amazing too. It oozes with craftmanship. I genuinely cannot fault it. Easy casting. Fantastic handling. So smooth. It is a keeper and I would highly recommend it. When I started out fishing about 5 years ago I got 4 reels in a row that were recommended to me by local retailers. All were cheap and all were rubbish. When I decided to invest in the Shimanos it made me realise how much money I had wasted. It is worth spending more if you are serious about fishing. Class reels.

I already own a Stradic (the much smaller 1000 model) so I knew what to expect with this one. Incredibly well-built and aesthetically pleasing. This is one reel that will last a lifetime!

Shimano always makes good quality reels, Amazon brought it to me at a good price and delivered in good time...

Disappointment that there is no spare spool. Every other Shimano fixed spool reel I have bought did include one. Also the ambidextrous reel handle screws in, again my other Shimano reels have an ambidextrous handle that slides through a square hole and is then secured by a hand turnable screw from the opposite side. I feel this "older" method is stronger and more positive. I hope the reel lives up to my expectations based on my previous experience of Shimano.

Problem with good looking, big chips on front cover, now I need to wait 2 or 3 weeks for payback...

Not the new shimano stradic c3000 was sent to me. I am not happy with this purchase.

Now that my son is older and buying his own gear I have gone back to Shimano. 🙂 The Stradic FL series seems to have many excellent reviews. I’m very impressed with this reel in the 1000 series. Solidly built but still light enough for an ultra-light 7 foot crappie setup. They claim the spool’s new design improves distance. After having a chance to use it I do think it helps a bit. Bear in mind that I am throwing 1/64th thru 1/8 jig heads. YMMV. Overall, nice little reel. Very happy with this purchase.

Man traut es ihr zunächst garnicht zu, aber sie ist grundsolide und trotzdem so leicht. Sie ist spielerisch zu bedienen ohne irgendwelchen Widerstand! Eine absolute Traumrolle!!

I upgraded from the Nordic. It's a heavy duty reel. Its not the lightest reel out there, but i have no problem chucking lures with it all day. I've used it a bunch of times now. It's super smooth, with a great drag.

My favorite fishing reel. Does everything I’ve asked for mountain trout. Been backpacking with me and banged around and have had no issues.. I have this reel on 3 poles of various sizes. My daughter and nephew use these also.
