PutmansWorld Famous Opera Creams 14oz Box

My mother loves these and I order them every year for her. This time however she felt the consistency was wrong. She thinks they had been frozen and were not creamy. I am very disappointed because this was her favorite candy and they aren’t inexpensive.

This is not opera cream, nothing creamy about it. No flavor, just sugar. I suspect it is stale. Yuck.

This is the second time I have written a review for this product.The box of candy was shipped through the Post Office. Not only was it partly mashed, but also put into our mailbox which is a gang style of boxes. We picked up the mail early but it had already started to melt. This might be expected in California but we live in Northern Idaho. Not that warm. This was an expensive box of candy, and had hoped for a box to be at least in good condition. Not smashed and melty. I aslo question the age as there were white areas in the chocolate. Might have been from the smashing.

Old, chewy and had A bad flavor. Contacted seller. No response. Non returnable it says

There is no better confection, that’s why I frequently order them sent to California!

The opera creams were old! Do not buy from this seller! I bought these for a gift and the candy was old and hard. They don’t accept returns and don’t give refunds, so don’t make the same mistake I made.

The recipient of this gift thoroughly enjoyed them!

Over the years, I've gotten opera creams from four different candy stores. All of the creams were the same, creamy filling that dribbled out of the chocolate when you bit into them. They are my all-time favorite candy, and I haven't found any in over 10 years.These ain't them. I, and the candy stores I shopped at, called this kind of candy a chocolate cream drop, not an opera cream.These are good enough, but definitely not what I was hoping for.
