Good monitor for price
Bought for a PC I built. Bright colors, good quality, it does not seem to have sound at all but I think it does clarify that in the description, I did not expect sound and screen speakers never sound good to me anyway so I likely would not have used sound if it had it. The size is fine for a desktop since I'm sitting right in front of it anyway.

Very Good Monitor for the Price
The monitor on my wife's computer started flickering a lot every time the computer was turned on. The image was barely viewable through all the flickering. It took 10 minutes or so to settle down and display without issues. Sometimes it was completely black. I finally convinced her to quit dealing with that and bought this ASUS 24" monitor as a replacement. Paired with an ASUS motherboard in her computer and the Ryzen 5600G CPU/APU, I figured this monitor would be a good match. So far, so good, with the monitor; especially for a relatively inexpensive monitor. No dead pixels, no annoying flicker, very good brightness and colors, and, as a bonus, 1920 x1080 display instead of the maximum 1680 x 1050 of her 15-year-old Samsung monitor. I cannot comment on suitability for gaming as that is not our use for this monitor. Tilt is nice, but no height adjustment (I knew this before buying it) so it is a little shorter than her last monitor. Longevity will be my only concern, not that I have reason now to be concerned. Sometimes, inexpensive things do not last. Actually, these days, not even expensive items are guaranteed to last long.

love the monitor but ...
I was unfairly charged. Less than 6 hrs after ordering, this "Sold by Amazon" monitor dropped in price by $21. I called C.S. but was told they don't support any price drop adjustments or price-drop guarantees. Sooo, I either eat the 21 bucks or go thru the hassle of returning it, reordering, and starting over. Since the drive to my drop-off point is over 1-hr roundtrip, I decided to keep the monitor. For function the monitor is perfect for home office or daily use. Resolution is great, the refresh rate is quick, and the size is perfect for my desk (5'Lx30"D). I have ample room for full-size keyboard, desktop printing calculator, and my PC. I give ASUS 5 starts for function and picture quality, but only 1 star for stability. It wobbles like crazy with the slightest touch. My attempts to stabilize the stand at the base haven't worked. Collectively I give it 4 stars because it's a good picture but took off 1 star for the wobble issue.

Good quality for the price, has been reliable
I finally caved in and replaced my first-generation LED monitor from like 2009 that was so heavy that I couldn't use it with a two-monitor mount without it falling over. The monitor has worked great for me so far and looks good, so I cannot complain. I suspect it also uses less electricity and produces less heat than the ancient monitor it replaced.

Quality
I've had a few ASUS monitors and motherboards over the years. While objectively searching for a replacement for an old 2K monitor, this one was among the top three that met my requirements. It was the priciest of the three, but I went with it based upon the reviews and my past experiences with the ASUS brand. This monitor exceeded my expectations. Everything works as expected, and the image quality is exceptional. Brightness is good and color production is excellent. The controls are intuitive, and the variety of interfaces covers everything I needed except DVI, which is okay because I used a DVI-HDMI adapter with good results (4K@60Hz).

Excellent Monitor for Basic Use
I purchased two of these monitors around one month ago and have been satisfied with them. As much as I wanted to give this monitor 4-stars for lack of adjustability, they are not advertised to be very adjustable. This makes sense given the low end price. The only adjustable feature that this monitor offers is the ability to tilt in and out, which even then is a bit annoying to do. That said, screen quality is as advertised and great for basic use, bezels are super slim, and out-of-box assembly was straight forward. I have had ASUS products for years, so I anticipate these monitors to last long. If you want a good, budget-friendly, simple monitor, this one is an excellent choice!

Low price. Low quality.
I bought this monitor because of Amazon ratings and because of the glowing reviews on what passes for tech journalism. Compared to the image quality on my MacBook Air, the resolution of the monitor is poor—fuzzy at all resolutions. It did not come with a Thunderbolt port so I had to connect BOTH the HDMI cable and a USB cable—the latter is needed to use the mic and webcam. Because the speakers are underpowered, I needed external speakers. My desk looked awful with the jungle of cables that was needed. The construction is flimsy. Returned after two days. Instead, I bought an Apple Studio Monitor. Much more expensive but worth it. Quality construction. Outstanding resolution, sound and webcam. One cable connection to the laptop. And that cable powers the laptop as well. Super clean. Bottom line on the ASUS: Low price. Low satisfaction. Buyer beware. Feh!
