Just what it promises!
I picked up a package of these "just in case" -- and they sat in my car for months. Then one day, on my way to work (in the pouring rain), I came upon an accident on the side of the road where the driver was in need of help. Five minutes later, the driver of the wrecked car, the other driver who stopped to help, and myself were all dry and comfortable in these ponchos.

Okay emergency poncho
I bought two brands of ponchos at the same time to compare. These are okay, but I prefer the other brand. Here's why:Sara brand (this one): Pros: Ultra light weight (40 grams). Cons: Plastic is so thin it is hard to peel apart, plastic has a white milky color, looks a little more like a garbage bag than the other brand.Zoophyter brand: Pros: Light weight (56 grams), very clear plastic, looks less like a garbage bag, thicker plastic is easier to unfold and put on.Both would work for emergency one (or few) time use. Zoophyter just looks better and was easier to work with because of the thicker plastic. Both are very packable and both would keep you dry in an emergency. The Zoophyter with its thicker plastic might last a couple more uses, if needed.

For what these were, they were actually durable and held up well. We went to Disneyland in the pouring down rain. I managed to pull them on and off a few times without them tearing. I didn't expect them to hold up as well as they did. Absolutely worth it !!!

The Dollar Store ponchos are better. So
I thought that these would be the equivalent to those that you can buy at the Dollar Store which are cheap, but get the job done. The Dollar Store ponchos are better. So, although these somewhat do the job in keeping you from getting soaked, we found that they rip and or tear easily and are very thin. I'll be heading back to the Dollar Store.

Don't forget to belt it or you may look like Dumbo flying around your yard
Used in the heavy rain we had this winter to keep me dry while digging ditches to channel the water away from flooding my kitchen. Don't forget to belt it or you may look like Dumbo flying around your yard. <G> These are light weight but strong and don't encumber movement. They are reusable. At least mine was.

Handy product!
Very nice convenient useful product! You can use one several times before tossing. Well worth the cost! I purchase a lot and just keep them in convenience places-- my car, my purse, work bag, near the door, etc... The hood could be a little bigger though. Every poncho I've ever had, had a hood that was too small. Some women have big hair, so I just don't understand why the hood is always so small. However this one is not overly small, it just could have been slightly bigger. It gets the job done, so I give it all five stars.

Worked as expected
Definitely disposable ponchos. Came in handy during rain spurts at Disney

Very Thin Material, But Usable and Will Fit Just About Everyone
A little thin on the material for my needs, but will fit just about anyone with lots of room to spare - I am a 3XL. Basic pancho, nothing fancy, no elastic, but will most likely go over a backpack on a smaller person, but will probably get ripped pulling it over the backpack.Better than nothing at all in a downpour, but a few dollars more each will get something a bit more durable.
