Great product, it is what it says it is, 1/16th inch 304 stainless 7x7 multi strand wire cable. Have had a 100 foot piece outside for 2 years with no rusting or issues.1 - Unlike some other reviewers who have not works with wire stranded cable, All wire strand cable will “fray” at the end and have tiny little pieces that go everywhere when you cut the end, this is the nature of all wire strand cable so please don’t blame this product for that. Get plastic coated wire if you don’t want that.2 - Not all Stainless steel is non-ferromagnetic (aka non-magnetic), look it up.Some 304 and even 316 stainless steel can have magnetic properties. It depends on how the stainless steel is manufactured. You can make 304 ( & 316) have magnetic properties by work hardening or heat treatments, which I suspect happens as a byproduct of the manufacturing process of this wire cable. So please stop staying in other reviews that is it’s not stainless just because a magnet sticks to it.

I bought this to hang a bird feeder from a high limb. Squirrels chewed through the original cord but they don't even try with this cable.You are not going to be able to cut this cable with ordinary dykes/wire cutters. I bought a pair of these in late January from Amazon, but the price seems to have doubled since then, but they work well: Crescent 8" Pro Series Diagonal Compound Action Dual Material Cutting Pliers.The sleeve stops are also well made.Now that I have a lifetime supply of this wire I have found other uses like attaching a computer password dongle to a key chain.

I got this as an alternative to a fishing brand wire cable, and it works but seems to unravel easier than the fishing brand wire. Also not quite as limp. With that said, the price is a bargain, and it works just fine. I also put heat shrink at the connection points to mitigate a frayed strand poking my fingers when handling the wire at the business side of the rig.

I loved this Stainless Steel 304 Wire Cable with 100 Pieces of Sleeve Stops. I thought this wire was very beautiful when I first saw it and thought it would be nice to make jewelry with. I did not know if this was possible because this was a thicker form of wire, but I asked this question on Amazon and got a positive response so I thought I would give it a chance to see what I could create. I have started to make some very pretty necklaces and earrings, but I have not finished them yet because I want to make sure I apply the end enclosures correctly where they will hold since this is a stronger form of wire than usually used for jewelry making. I know for a fact this cable wire is strong and durable because I had to buy cable cutters to cut through this wire. I know there is so many things that this cable can be used for because of it's strength and endurance, but making jewelry can, also, be one of them. I would recommend this stainless steel wire cable by Rekobon because it can be used for so many things besides hanging lanterns. It's strength and durability makes it an excellent wire cable that will last and last.

I am a seasonal camper so for the entire spring/ summer we spend every weekend and any other time off we get at our camper . We moved to a new site this year and I plan on staying here for awhile so I wanted to set it up nice. I ordered this wire rope to string up some lights around the perimeter of our site. I had all the hardware to set it up I just needed this rope. I was also considering to use this to anchor our awning down. We seem to be in a area where the winds arent to bad however I feel your better to add the xtra security and not need it then to have to pay a few hundred for a new awning. This wire rope is very versatile and easy to work with. Worked great for my projects!

We have a stockage fence around our backyard and, because we feed the birds, they land on it and we are forever cleaning off their poop!! I purchased this wire, eye screws, crimps and a turnbuckle from Amazon and ran the wire 2 inches from the top of the fence putting the eye screws on each fence post, making sure they placed the wire on the center line of the fence top. This did the trick! A few birds tried to land on the wire to no avail! I now have a clean fence!
