Lone Survivor (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

I like Explosions in the Sky but I only realized they recorded the music for it form the opening credits. It's great and it fits the movie perfectly. Most of the tracks are named after the scenes in the movie where it played, so I guess it helps to see the movie, too. It adds to the experience. But if you are just a fan of post-rock (and not so much of war movies) then you will like the album just on it's own, I'm sure...

This is easily one of the best soundtracks I've ever come across. Created specially for the film it supports the action without ever intruding and yet its always there in the background, keeping the thing moving along. Listened to in isolation its equally powerful. Great movie and this soundtrack really does it justice.

I fell in love with the music while watching the movie Lone Survivor and knew that I had to have th soundtrack. It is beautiful and sad but very peaceful at the same time. I never get tired of listening to this.

Explosions in the Sky is one of my favorite bands of all time. Creating memories and invoking emotions since I started listening to them. The music created for this film is what made the film even more real. Great buy would buy another cd if I needed one. Love there music all day!

I've never been in war but based on the film this is the kind of sound, melody, music that might go through any soldier's mind while waiting for the mission to be accomplished or to be engaged in combat. Great soundtrack. It makes you meditate or it provokes a meditation state.

Amazing music score which will sink home the story (Based on true life events) the music expresses the emotions which is clearly universally understood regardless of your language & from which country you are from another great album by Explosions in the sky & Steve Jablonsky highly rated album will emotionally touch you the score music.

Not their best CD. but Love the Explosions!!

Lone Survivor präsentiert stilistisch einen neuen Steve Jablonsky. Nichts erinnert hier an seinen Werdegang bei Remote Control als Zögling von Hans Zimmer und dem damit einhergehenden Stil seiner Transformers-Scores. Der raue Stil der Musik unter häufigem Einbezug einer E-Gitarre erinnert entfernt, aber markant eher etwas an den Stil eines Trevor Rabin.Die gesamte Akustik von Lone Survivor kommt durchgängig rau, trübe, düster, bedrohlich daher, niedergeschlagen, melancholisch. Doch diesen Stil weiß Jablonsky so zu komponieren, dass der Score für sich stehen kann, nicht nur zur Filmuntermalung dient. Hier und da gibt es auch mal Momente, wo die Klangsignatur der Musik extrem unangenehm im Ohr ist. Das Ergebnis ist trotzdem ein guter Score, der aber zu keiner Sekunde Feelgood-Musik ist, sondern einfach eigenwillig anders.

Love it! Convinced me to get all available "Explosions In The Sky" albums. At first there were only 3 or so scores on this CD that I really enjoyed, but the more I listened to it the more I become addicted.

5 stelle per la colonna sonora ottima qualità del suono, mi è piaciuta perchè nel risentire il souno e come rivedere il film ad occhi chiusi. La consiglio a quanti hanno prima visto il film e per gli appassionati del settore.
