Fits 7mm 2.5" hard drives well. Not sure about 9.5mm drives.It uses JMicron chip.Aluminum is solid.

Poor quality, breaks easily
I bought one of these in April. After just a few weeks, the connector on the Purex enclosure became loose and now in December, it's completely unusable. Lucky it has a one year warranty, but I don't know if a replacement one would be any better.
