I used it for a project to apply about 5lbs of force to the nozzle of a compressed air can. For that it was very effective. I used one 8-pin DPDT relay to drive it and am able to extend and retract reliably so long as the 12V battery has decent charge. I'll probably buy another in the future!

I used this actuator as a replacement for a choke solenoid on an outboard motor remote upgrade, saved me quite a bit of money and simplified my wiring. The built-in travel limits eliminated the need for me to install & wire my own and the travel & force was perfect for my application. The factory solenoid actuator this replaced would have cost 8X as much and might not have installed as intended... the factory couldn't guarantee the fit on my engine model. I teamed this up with a mini DPDT relay that could be hidden inside the engine housing and 3D printed the parts required for the installation. Works great with my remote throttle quadrant, the choke now operates as it's supposed to and I couldn't be happier. Nice unit.

I have purchased these Linear actuators 9 different times over the last couple of years. They have worked great but my last order I received the actuator but this time I received it with no connector on the end of the power wire. All other orders, they had a connector.

I didn’t use this actuator for its intended purpose really. I was making a disconnect for a circuit but the body and the shaft aren’t isolated. I hit it with 13kv and it instantly decided to leave the party. I have since added a block to the end of the shaft to for isolation and it works great!

I'm building an electric brake for my E-Bike and this item will push a generator/motor up against the back wheel. The switch I bought is reverse polarity so I can release the brake as well. 20nm is the minimum to apply to my back wheel but I'm hoping it will be strong enough to generate some power to my battery via ultra-capacitors and also apply some braking for the wheel. Since I'm using power it may be a trade off vs using a manual lever like a regular bike brake caliper. On my second purchase I was disappointed that the mounting hardware came lose in the box. Otherwise I am still very happy with the product.

Bought this to replace another LA that went out on my chicken door. screwed it in place and worked a few times and then when I was testing it , it stopped mid way and heated up the motor really bad. Disassembled it and there was a terrible connection from power leads to the motor. Poorly made
