EMU Australia Women's Hip Boot

I also purchased this boot during a gold box sale (I forget the price but it was under $30). In looking at some of the other reviews it seems I am a lucky one and didn't have the sale rescinded so I am able to make some comments on the item in hand.The boots arrived quickly and are quite comfortable and great for cooler/cold weather. The workmanship on the pair I received is excellent and I expect them to last a long time. I would note that they do run a little big--I ordered the 9 and I usually go from 9s to 10s (in running shoes), and am a solid size 40 in Euro sizes (Danskos). I think they would also work very well for those of us with larger calves too. Most importantly, other than the cold protection, is that they are delightfully comfortable!As an item Highly Recommended, but everyone has to choose their own price point of course.JTG

Very comfortable and soft on the inside. Durable on the outside. These stayed tied very well and were nice and snug. I would definitely recommend them. Just be careful not to spill on them, they will stain.

I was totally against the whole ugg boot fad for the longest time. Then I was just browsing and saw these. What caught my eye was how they tied on the side(meaning they are form fitting) and they are tall boots. So I did my research and found out that the company who makes these- Emu Wool-is from the same company that makes Uggs. yes, it is true. Google Emu Australia and you will see that this is just one big company that makes 3 different brands. These are half the price of Uggs which is always a plus! Every review I read said how comfy and feminine these boots were. I took a leap of faith and bought them in the Chesnut color. They of course arrived fast as always with Amazon, and I put them on right away. I FELL IN LOVE with them!! I have been wearing them ever since! Being from TX you would thing it wouldn't get cold enough to really have the need to wear them but this year proved me wrong! We have had snow and ice the past 2 weeks and these boots have been my best friend!!They do run smaller, so buy a size down! I am an 8.5 and bought a 8, they fit great!If you want comfy boots, that are flattering, cute, and well priced- Buy these! You will not regret it :)

I bought these a long time ago but I really enjoyed them. They are comfy and soft. The color is a nice light brown which goes with many things. They were perfect for me on lazy days or long days when I had class. I really liked the wrap around ribbon to close them as it gave them a unique look from all the other boots of this type. It also allowed me to change the fit of the boot shaft. I could make it tight or loose or bend part of it down to show the shearling inside. Lasted a long time with care. I love the EMU brand over any other one.

These boots are great! So warm & comfy! Order 1 size down & they will fit your feet perfectly. The ties are not a problem, I can wrap them around & secure them without an issue of loosening up, and if you have a larger calf- these work. I get sooo many compliments on these whenever I wear them- I ordered them in gray. I would suggest waterproofing these, because the only issue I have is salt staining. I didn't apply anything to them, so I just have to gently brush them off w/ a soft nail brush when I see something forming. I want to keep these for a long time!

These are actually very cute boots but are not EMU Australia, they are EMU Wool. These are suede with wool glued in, not sheepskin w/ wool attached. It is a very noticeable difference. I purchased them on the Gold Deal day for only $29. Had I paid more, I would be really upset about them. I have purchased several of my premium EMU's at places like TJ Maxx & Marshall's for only $60. For anyone complaining about the "Fake Sale" it wasn't fake. I purchased 5 pairs that day all for the 70% off price. If you read the sale it said there was a limited quantity of each style available for the sale price. Just because it's a sale doesn't mean they are clearing out the entire stock at that price. Overall, I like them enough to pay the $29 but no way would I pay $100 for these.

I also was one of the lucky ones to snag these during the sale and actually have my order go through. The boots look really nice and definitely have a high comfort level. I have wide feet and the width is perfect for me. In terms of size, I usually wear a 7-7.5 - I ordered the 7 and they fit well, just a smidge on the big side. My calves are normal sized, and the way they came, the boots flare just a bit on me. I have yet to adjust the straps, but I would assume the boots can be pulled in a bit tighter.Overall, great deal for $30, but don't think I would pay $100.

I have to admit that I hate Uggs (which I affectionately call Ugg-lies), but living in Chicago it gets cold and I needed some decent warm boots. I have two issues with these boots: 1. if you don't stain treat them, they will get stained by salt and water. 2. It's near impossible to retie the laces the way they originally were, so the laces tend to get stepped on and dirty.
