The wire handle is a bit more flimsy than I would like. However it has a good fit in straws for water bottles. I have not had an opportunity to see how well it would remove growing in the straw. Seems like it would function effectively.

I got notice of shipment of these from Amazon with another Prime item. The brushes were not in the box upon arrival but order information says that they shipped together (magnesium fire starter rec'd and needed no pkg filler - it was just its lonesome self in the pkg). This is not a reflection on anyone other than whoever packed my Prime shipment which was probably a robot with bad aim when it comes to something as lightweight as these brushes. I decided it is too much trouble to pursue for such a small amount - ain't nobody got time for that! Instead, I'll hit a craft store and try pipe cleaners on my Miele coffee machine.

If you are loot for brushes that are thick to reach all sides of straw for wider straw then this is not for you. This is for the narrow straw such as those you throw away.

When I only drank water in my tumbler, I never gave a thought to the cleanliness of my acrylic straws. I would soak them in hot soapy water and rinse . However, after adding fresh lemon to my water, I noticed a film from the lemon oil. I immediately ordered these. I highly recommend having a set if you have reusable straws.

Great for what they are. No more grody straws, yay! Not sure why I didn't think to buy these before as often as my son leaves glasses laying around.

These brushes work great for cleaning out straws and to reach the bottom of other glasses that you can't reach with other cleaning tools. Shipped nice and fast too.
