TO WOMEN WHO WANT TO REMAIN HEALTHY & BALANCED, EVEN WHEN LIFE GETS CRAZY ... SUCH AS DURING MENSTRUATION AND STRESS. AS WELL AS WHEN YOU ARE EXPERIENCING PAIN AND CRAMPS, MOOD SWINGS, NAUSEA, HOT FLASHES, INFERTILITY, YEAST INFECTIONS, FIBROIDS, CYSTS, OR PMS. Studies show women worry more often than men and are physiologically prone to experiencing a greater amount of stress. It's true. According to a 2005 Gallup poll, women are more worried about a range of social issues than men are. Significantly more women than men answered that they worry a great deal about seven out of ten issues in the survey. And never has this been more prevalent than today with the stresses of trying to balance children with work, social commitments and our fast-paced society, leaving many women stressed and not getting the nutrients they need to function at their best. HERE'S WHY OUR MODERN LIFESTYLE MAY AFFECT WOMEN MORE THAN MEN The part of the brain which processes emotions like anxiety and fear is called the amygdale. And according to an article in Live Science, in men the amygdale communicates with organs that absorb and process visual information, like the visual cortex. But in women it communicates with that part of the brain which regulates digestion and hormones. This may mean stress is more likely to result in physical symptoms in women than men. What's more, according to Psychology Today, women's bodies produce a greater amount of stress hormones than men's bodies do. And once a stressful event is completed, women's bodies continue to produce the stress hormones for a longer period of time.
