Great for marathon training (with a sensitive stomach)
While training for my fourth marathon, I all of a sudden had really bad stomach issues during my long runs. I was eating GU, just like the previous times (and had no issues during previous marathon training). A blog I read highly recommended the huma gels so I tried. I have truly converted! This taste SOOOOOO much better and more natural than the GU gels. The strawberry lemonade is kind of tangy and a little more watery than GU so it's possible to eat it during a long run WITHOUT water which is a game changer. It didn't aggravate my stomach at all which really helped my long runs. I ran with three during the marathon and they really helped keep me energetic. Definitely definitely recommend this.

Followup: Still love this product
Using this product for over a year now.As an endurance athlete (long course triathlon, marathons and long course cycling) I have been a long time Gu user and still think they make an excellent product (especially the peanut butter which has 1 gram of protein unlike the others), but found myself getting burned out on the texture/taste. A fellow cyclist introduced my to Huma and I found it a welcome change. The PLUS (added electrolytes) "sealed the deal" for me. One of my problems on marathon and half marathon courses was the "unknown" as to fluids with electrolytes at the rest stops (ranging from Gatorade, Powerade, Nuun all mixed to different strengths). After studying the electrolyte contents of Huma PLUS and trial runs on the treadmill I found I could do fine with water alone and one Huma PLUS every 45-50 minutes or so. This dramatically simplified my nutrition/hydration equation and played a significant role in staying "balanced" on my first sub 4 hour marathon this past December. The packets are slightly larger than Gu's due to increased fluid content (texture similar to thin applesauce) which eases consumption and makes chasing immediately with water NOT necessary. The PLUS does have a slightly saltier taste, but not unpleasant/unbearable. I have also tried the Blueberry & Banana which tastes similar. As an added bonus the contents are "cleaner" than most on the market and designed by one of our military veterans.A great product that comes with my highest recommendation.UPDATE: I'm not a "sponsored athlete" (although I would happily be one for Humma...hint hint, haha!) After multiple orders this remains my "go to" fuel for any competitive or weight/space constrained athletic activity (triathlon, running, cycling, hiking) and the orders are promptly and correctly filled every time.Only suggestion I can come up with is to consider expanding your line to include "chewable" fuel like some of the other companies (ie chews/gummies, bars)Thanks guys!

So far, so good.
Today was the first time I tried any of these from the variety pack. I used the Raspberry and Strawberry on my long run. They are tasty and remind me of eating jam. I had sustained my energy level through out my run, using one 15 minutes before workout and then again 40 minutes into it. Drink water while using. Helps to prevent stomach cramping. I look forward to trying other flavors. Delivery arrived on time and individual packaging easy to get into while on the move. I am comparing it to Gatorade Primes (my go to for years). Huma cost more than Primes. Too early to tell if they are better at keeping me fueled. I look forward to sampling the other flavors.

A must have for the serious runner
As a soon to be a first time marathon runner, this product is a MUST have. Before purchasing, the best I did was 12 miles before hitting the wall (and I hit it hard). Today, I used one pack at 6 miles and another at 10 and at 14 miles I finally stopped but I know I could have easily gone another 5, possibly more if only I had had another gel pack with me. This is the gel pack to have...it is just what the body needs!

Stomach friendly
I used Gu and didn't like the consistency (really thick), then I tried honey stinger gels and they were way too sweet. I decided on Huma because they were still "real food" for the most part and had plenty of flavors. The first time I had one was on the way to the grocery store just to make sure they didn't do anything weird to my stomach, since I'd had a problem with the Honey Stinger's giving me GI issues within 5 minutes of eating one. I had zero stomach issues, and I felt a pretty powerful "pep" effect within 15 minutes after taking the Huma gel. I then used a few of them during a 50k race 2 days later and really liked them. The consistency was perfect- not too thick and reminded me of applesauce. I had the fruity flavors so far and they are good and don't taste like plastic but aren't too sweet.I'll keep using them since I rarely feel like eating real food during long runs.

Which is fine because they taste great and they sit on my ...
I've use the Huma with Chia seeds and can only stomach two of the flavors - the Apple and Raspberry. Which is fine because they taste great and they sit on my stomach well. I decided to try these because of the extra stuff in them. I tried one on a long bike ride and again, no stomach upset and though a little tangy on the first taste, it's not strong and it worked well. A nice addition to my nutrition.

Huma Me
It's delicious, nutritious and makes me expeditious.Great job guys. This is the BEST gel i have tried. The packet is solid but easy to open. The taste is great- sweet but not sickly. It goes down easy and does not have that "stuck in your mouth" thing you get with some gels. It's the best. Five stars PLUS.

Sustained Energy and Easy On The Stomach
In short, I don't run long races without Huma gels.I use Huma for running and cycling. For longer workouts especially greater distances, I always have 2-3 with me. I have tried other more "known" gels and they either upset my stomach or give me the side stitch. Huma gel is nice and thick and easy to eat, always with water. The energy is sustained and when I'm running the longer distances and follow what is recommended, energy is never a problem. Same holds true on the bike. They have a nice product for recovery too, which I've had good luck with.

Good Ingredients - Rough taste
I used these gels when training for my last marathon.I really like the ingredients list - they're not as hard on the stomach as some of the other gels. The taste is hard to get past, I struggled to get through the whole box. they have an interesting aftertaste that would make me nauseous as I became more fatiqued on long runs. I would use these at the beginning of my runs and switch to GUs half way through. I probably won't buy these again.

Mixed Reviews
Some flavours leave a lot to be desired. Apple Cinnamon is my favourite. Easy to take but don’t always sit well with my sensitive stomach on endurance rides or runs.
