Schiek Sports Lifting Belt

This is my second Scheik belt. I had to replace my old one do to weight gain. The old one was still serviceable after 5 years of use. I am 75 years old and was a powerlifter for many years. I have used the thick heavy leather belts and found them uncomfortable and not really user-friendly pinching and rib rubbing just a few of my complaints.I switched to the Schiek lifting belt and had the same if not better ab and back support without the rib bruising, buckle pinching and belt tip gouging. The belt shape and hook and loop fastening are the best features as one can relax the belt very quickly between reps and retighten without removing the belt. Well made in the USA and the design features provide comfort and ease of use.

I tried out the belt as soon as I got it out of the package and hit the gym with it. This was my first time I used this particular neoprene belt. I mostly used leather belts because that was what my friends had and at my high school gym had for weight training. I read the description on this brand from other websites. I had a difficult time getting the belt to be very snug as to what the trainer in the video of the brand belt instructed. I got it on and started dead lighting. I didn't get a strong support on my back. It gave in a little. The problem I had is with the locking mechanism. The Velcro couldn't allow me to contract the belt closer to my midsection, even when I suck in my stomach in. I bought my girlfriend another neoprene belt, which was firmer than this one, but she too had a difficult time with the connections. I am going to look at purchasing the leather belts that this seller offers. The shipping was quick and it arrived in nicely packaged! This is not for the intense and hard weight trainers.

I kept puting off getting a lifting belt because I didn't think I really needed one. My back feels so much better since I started using this lifting belt. My trainer recommended this one and I saw multiple people also using it in the gym. I love the double adjustment feature.

The belt does all the things the mfr claims. The fit is very comfortable, and the belt can be cinched down easily once you get the hang of it. I really like the rib and hip relief - this belt does not dig in like standard belts do. The one way velcro sounded a bit hoky to me, but it actually works as advertised. I don't do low rep, ultra heavy squats or deadlifts anymore, so I can't really comment on what the belt feels like at the bottom of those lifts, when it really counts. Back Then, 25 years ago, I used a 6" padded leather belt that dug into the hips and ribs, but it did not stretch or give at the bottom of those lifts. This belt is all day comfortable - I also wear it riding my motorcycle for hours at a time. Very pleased with the product.

I was looking for weight belt for a while. I tried many but after watching some videos and seeing how this belt worked I tried it. I have to say it has helped me with my back. The way it fits, and get's tight. like knowing that this belt won't give out when i'm doing heavy weight. The funny thing is that some times its so good on staying on it's hard to take off. Haven't really found the right way of taking it off quick... That's my mistake lol... Overall i have to say it's a good awesome belt.

This is my first belt I've ever used. I started crossfit this year and was a little doubtful on why everyone uses them, but it really does help your lifts, especially once you start lifting heavy. I really like how it's contoured to be thicker around your back. It keeps my lower back from curving and keeps the belly nice and tight. I know there's a lot of different belt brands out there, so I didn't know what to get at first, but can't go wrong with made in USA. I'd definitely buy again, even if it is a little more than the cheap belts.

This is my second lifting belt my first one size medium model 2004 so decided to got model #2006 6inches so really happy.
