FINALLY. After going for a couple of good deals on here and being extremely disappointed (and sometimes misled about the diameters of the tubing), I have found one that works for my purposes. If you work in a lab and need very accurate measurements, I'm unsure that this is *exactly* 1/2 ID x 5/8 OD but it fits my attachments that call for these specs well enough, and the quality of the hose is where I'm most happy with this. I use it in my aquarium bucket less water changes, and this translucent hose allows me to see where water is, rolls up after use without collapsing (which can deform this kind of tubing and cause problems with water flow), and it doesn't easily kink. I'm thrilled with it and would purchase it again at this price if it were to become available in blue. Would recommend this product!

Perfect for siphoning my hot tub for biannual deep cleaning. I ordered it to put on a submersible pump, but the pump arrived late so I used it as a siphon hose. Perfect!

I'm not really sure what rating to give this hose because in some applications it's probably great but it doesn't hold up in the heat. I don't mean running hot liquids through it, I mean just being outside in the sun. I used it for a line that fed a portable water tank and when the shutoff valve kicked in, the hose ballooned up like a giant blue salami and burst with a sound like gunfire. Pretty cool to watch actually. However, It didn't suit my use but for the right application it's probably great.
