Dazzling Diggers (Amazing Machines)

My toddler loved this book so much when we checked it out at the library. After renewing the library loan 3 times, I decided to buy it. Cute story and illustrations. Great for a toddler.

I bought this book for my two year old son. He loves it, but I notice his little 4 month old sister loves it also because of the colorful pitures. The pictures of animals working is very cute. There are extra things in the pitures, like workers carrying lunch boxes that I can discuss with my son. Also the pages are more durable than normal paper. He wanted to take a tractor book to bed for a nap and I felt comfortable letting him read (flip through) this one alone before he fell asleep. However, my wife didn't like the idea of any book in his crib!

This series of books is excellent for young children. The rhyming flow of the text and the fun illustrations make for a very engaging read. We have a number of these books and it seems like at least one of them always appears in the bedtime-story stack. Highly recommend.

We have a lot of the books in this series now and my son would love to have them all. Unlike other "franchise" type series, each one of these books is as creative and fun as the last... there's not one that my son doesn't like. He's three now and does prefer longer stories, but they're really good filler books that he never turns down, and I really enjoy reading them as the rhymes and images are a lot of fun. There's also a very cool glossary at the end that gives insight into what the parts of the vehicle are and what they do, that might actually be the most fun for my little guy. Really love this entire series, we've had a lot of fun with them!

We have many of the books in this series and love them! I suggest it for ages 3 and up. Sturdy, cute drawings, fun words. Not simple enough words for a beginning reader though.

My daughter couldn't afford to buy my grand kids books and they love reading. I am not able to do a lot of "extra spending" either but want the children to love books like I do and have the opportunity to have some. I was so glad to find these and at such a wonderful price. I was able to get the kids each several books of their own and they were so glad to get them to! Go Nanny!!! I will be buying some more for them too!!

Tony Mitton's books are factual and the rhyming is catchy. My grandsons and granddaughter love all of the amazing machines titles by Mitton. Love Ant Parker's illustrations, also, which are amazingly accurate in depiction of the machines. I just bought 3 of the amazing machines books to give to my brother to read to his young grandson. I think I have their whole series now for my grandchildren.

My three and one year old grandsons love this book. The narrative is in rhyme not too wordy, just right for their attention spans.It is sturdy for a paperback

Bellissimo libro in inglese per bambini appassionati di mezzi di trasporto (tanti, immagino). Divertente da leggere anche per i genitori. Inglese di base a volte un po' tecnico ma non particolarmente difficile da tradurre. Simpatiche le rime ed i giochi di parole che rendono la lettura molto piacevole. Bellissimi i disegni.

Good story. I have read this story so many times to the grandsons. Engaging pictures, excellent quality paper. It still looks great after several months of reading. Long enough to feel like they've had a story, short enough to read twice at bedtime. Good mate to the Tough Trucks book.

We have started collecting these books, they're absolutely beautiful and my transport obsessed 2 year old adores them.

must have book for a boy. this is the second one now cause my son destroyed the first one. and that's his favorite book. read it every day.

Dazzling Diggers was an obvious choice for my just 2 year old grandson, who gets very excited every time he comes across a real one, chanting "digger,digger,digger!". He loved the book too, just right for that age!
