My 7yo speeds through these books and enjoys them enough to pick them back up for a second or third read given some time. Great series.

A great old series —I really hope she likes it.

This is a great set! For whatever reason I never read this series as a kid so I was excited to read it to my kids. When I saw the great price for 4 books I immediately bought it and I am very happy with the purchase. The author draws you right into the story from the first page- BOTH my 7 year old and 10 year old daughter love it! They beg for more chapters every night. Honestly even my husband who hates reading was getting into the story while reading it to my daughter and I got so engrossed, that I finished the whole first book on my own lol. If you are on the fence about buying- just get it!

Perfect

This is a rather simple adventure read, with four young children who make a home in a box car, as they are orphans. It is an easy read for my 8 year old, but she loves it, and my 5 year old loves listening to it. A good series, easier to read than famous five, almost nothing scary or tricky to navigate for sensitive readers, everyone behaves kindly to each other, siblings get along well together.

The review is for the quality of the printed material and not the text. We love the series! The pages are so thin that they leave imprints and is sometimes very hard to read if the next page has a picture. Wish the pages they used were not so thin. Unfortunate!
