This does not smell like peppermint extract that you use for cookies, it is much more like an herbal pepperminty scent. You only need to use a drop because it is very strong. I made up a spray bottle filled with about four ounces of water and a cooling mist (that was already in the bottle), a few drops of rosemary, eucalyptus, tea tree, cedarwood and manuka plus some peppermint and sprayed it on my itchy scalp. Much better now. Also made me feel more relaxed and my jaw unclenched!!! This makes your scalp very cool and takes away the itching. I also like that this peppermint takes away the odor of the manuka oil. Great!!!! The cooling sensation lasts about 10 minutes! Use a minimal amount like a drop or two! It is very, very strong!!!!! Aura Casia peppermint essential oil is a cost effective oil that smells really good with no undertones of additive scents or other chemical additives. I have used other more extensive ones and like this just as well. It got me through wearing masks during the pandemic. I put a drop of this oil in the center of my mask and it woke me up! Also, I use it on ant trails to convince ants not to come in my house. That way I don't have to kill them. I also spread a few drops on a cloth and rub my countertops down with it. It keeps ants away nicely.

Ordered this when the one I was given at Christmas ran out. It’s exactly the same, only a bigger bottle. This one stinks like the smell of something that went bad. I tried it a couple times thinking it might be just in my head. But it is not. I usually enjoy the smell, and I have used it daily, often 2-3 times a day. It relieves my sinus congestion simply by smelling it. So I am definitely familiar with how peppermint oil should smell. I have done this for years, and this is the first time I’ve had this experience.

Smells like the oil has gone bad. Somewhat minty but something is definitely off. Bottle isn't damaged from what I can tell but the smell isn't what you would expect with a "pure essential oil" maybe this product can't handle the shipping process and would be better off purchased in store.
