A very easy read and cute too. My six year old grandson can read this quite easily and it’s one of his favorite books. We giggle at the monkey’s antics and chittering at the peddler.

Be serious. This is one for all time. You really have to become the peddler. For 2 and up

I loved this book when I was a child (I'm 71 now). My kids loved it, and I just bought it as a gift for a 3 year old, who insisted I read it again and again. It's a simple, funny story with lovely illustrations. A classic.

When my Grandson was born this is the First book I wanted to get to read to him. When I was a child The Captain Kangaroo Show was on TV (in Black & White) would show this book's wonderful illustrations while reading the book and I loved it! So I would read it to my Grandson in the same fashion and He loved it! Please get it and Read it to your Children and Grandchildren!
