Great when they work. I've bought a couple of different sizes of these and they break. Not durable enough and unfortunately no life time guarantee like most good quality tools.

Grip-On is an old Spanish company who I believe also make Snap-On tools here in the US. it's important that you guys manually choose the seller so that you get genuine quality. I picked JB Tools cus I wanted to support a local company here in Michigan. I didn't necessarily need 6" vise grips but it's the only product of theirs that isn't $40+ and I wanted something nice. along as you're careful with who the seller is you'll be proud to have these in your arsenal.

Coming from someone who uses snaps and Macs every day I can testify that these are good quality and any gearhead will dig these . the small size fits perfect in my pocket and is used lots almost daily . I've retired my old made in usa vise grips to the home box for safekeeping . these are built solid , tolerances are minimal and the don't flex when used , release mechanism is a nifty design and you get used to it quickly .

These have been in my pocket for 1 year and 1 month and used nearly every day. I am a pool man and motorcycle rider. They have saved me many many many times. Clamped my kids Yamaha chain rail back on to get back to camp safely. That alone paid for them. I cant say enough about them.. waterproof plating hoding up and they are fully functional after dozens of uses. No rust or water damage even though they are often wet. They handle stressful situations without failure. Says on the handle they are made in Spain. I am impressed!

I was looking for a set of vise grips made in the USA and was only able to find made in China until I discovered this set. It is made in Spain and is super sturdy and very well made. Would highly recommend.

I tried to find locking pliers made in the US and I found that none are made in the US. I did find European companies like Grip-On( who makes Snap-On locking pliers), Knipex and Gedore. These are great for tight spots, they also have a nice bite. Great for Having them in your pocket and still comfortable. The also have a nice feel in the hand.Always oil the adjusting bolt

Made in SpainI am a industrial mechanic, I have been buying Grip on since Irwin moved production of Vise Grip to china. These are very high quality, the steel is superb and I actually prefer the release handle design to the Vise Grips. I use these mainly in the field to hold things while welding or to remove seized hardware in a pinch. The China vise grip teeth flatten easy, these do not. Very high quality product.Another plus, no pansy rubber handle to collect grease and grime.

Grip-On makes the best locking jaw pliers on earth. The secret is in the de-locking lever--where Vise-Grips force you to push down om the lever, Grip-on has you push up. Doesn't sound like a big deal--until you use them. These lock and unlock with ease. Grip-On also makes locking pliers for Proto but I prefer the orange and black color of these. These pliers are great, easy to use, and every tool box needs several models.
