Microburst Duet Commercial Automatic Odor Control Dispenser

I can't compare this directly to the Rubbermaid unit BUT this appears to either be the exact same (re-branded) unit or a clone of the Rubbermaid unit at a few dollars more than half the price. This dispenser is well made and appears to be quite a high quality device, not some light weight cheaply assembled copy of the Rubbermaid. After reading the reviews for the Rubbermaid unit's written instructions this unit's instructions appear to be exactly the same in that they are pictographs rather than a wordy explanation of programming steps.We have six cats and this unit along with the Rubbermaid Commercial Microburst Duet refill go a long way in eliminating rather than covering up offensive odors. I have programmed the unit for 90 day refill replacement, 24/7 odor control 7 days a week. So far this has been our best odor control solution, ever. I did not award a five star rating due to the fact that I've just recently installed the unit and would like to ensure validity of a five star rating. I will edit this review in a few months to reflect a longer usage period.Update 8/18/16: We like this product so much that we've purchased a second for our living area. Review elevated to 5 stars.

Makes my family room smell like ... well... not like a family room! Installed the dispenser a couple of weeks ago, and so far, the dispenser works really well. Like the programmable features and installation was easy. Only thing I would point out that got me a little confused was the IKEA like minimalist pictorial instruction manual. It was hard and confusing to follow and interpret. But that should not prevent you from trying out this awesome product.

I’ve had this for two years, the issue I am having s that it does not empty completely the fragrance containers. I wanted an automatic freshener that could go 90 days. My fragrances at first emptied. If it did not see full containers I shut it off turned back on. However now it is leaving half full containers. I have multiple containers on my kitchen counter (these are not cheap either). I like what it is suppose to do, it just is not doing it anymore.

When it works it's great. When it doesn't work, well, good luck find any troubleshooting instructions. I have two of these. One is still working after 6 months, the other seems to have quit on me. Nothing I do will get it to recognize a refill is full. Test works fine and both canisters are full, but the dispenser says they are empty. There's no reset button and there are no instructions I can find anywhere on how to reset. Too bad, it was a good unit. Now it's a doorstep and not a very good one at that.

Virtually exactly the same as the other popular brand at almost half the price. Works great.

Quiet product and working perfectly.

Very confusing instructions for programming. Rubbermaid telephone rep was not very helpful. Returned product to Amazon.

Smells great and lasts longer.
