Branson, Missouri: Travel Guide to Fun City, U.S.A. for a Vacation or a Lifetime Paperback – May 12, 2014

It came just in time to take on a recent trip to Branson. It was fun to check activities ahead of time.

The publication is a long way from a comprehensive guide to the Branson area. It does have usefulness, but it ought to be more accurately titled something like "Branson, 101". If one has already visited Branson on previous occasions, there is little to be learned from the booklet, but for first-timers, I can see that it could be helpful. A particular weakness is the lack of more information regarding the shows in that area. While the authors have included a comparatively long and comprehensive list of area restaurants, there is very little mention of shows (and there are about 100 of them) other than a brief mention of a very few that happen to be favorites of the authors.As a primary reference for those not familiar with Branson and the area, it is worth the fairly cheap price. Such individuals will wish to obtain an ample amount of additional information regarding thier visit though Internet or other sources. Overall, the booklet is worthwhile, but for a somewhat limited readership.

As someone who loves taking road trips throughout the U.S. I am always on the look-out for exceptional travel information; and the Vokacs' travel guides have quickly become my top "go-to" choice for travel books. Their book on Branson Missouri did not dissapoint!! Branson Missouri, Fun City, U.S.A. is a compact, throw-it-in-your-purse guide filled with every kind of pertinent information you would need when traveling to that city. It not only includes the Vokac trademark description, history, and weather chart, but also lists all the great attractions, restaurants, and lodgings available to travelers. It is clearly and succinctly laid out for easy use and reading. In a world where the internet is not always available when traveling on the road, I think this is a wonderful resource that I will use again and again. I highly recommend it!!!

This was a pretty disappointing purchase. The book is pretty short on information about things to do in Branson. It does have a good list of lodgings and restaurants, but I think that there's much more information to be had at websites such as tripadvisor.

Not much in Branson, but this helps.
