Excellent value and much better quality that I would have expected for the price.
When I received these I set them all out on a large board covered with graph paper along with a couple of my more expensive compasses. I aligned all the orienteering lines with the graph paper and then turned the board so all the needles pointed north. The variation between all 9 compasses was about 2 degrees which for the price I thought was great. I had been thinking at that price there might be one or two way off that I'd just toss. The one thing that could be improved is the orienteering arrow which is just an arrow instead of a "house" or "shed" type of box. We used these for a navigation talk and handed these out to anyone that didn't have a compass so they could follow along hands on through the talk. Worked great for what we needed and not a big investment!

OK for the money
Not the easiest to read my beginners class had difficulty finding the direction of travel arrow and the orienteering arrow, both are very poorly marked. That said the price was right.

Points north
Much better than the cheaper sets. All compasses consistently pointed north and worked to teach my scouts basic orienteering

Bye if you wanna get lost…
Reading the measurements is great. Uses USGA markings. Only issue is 4 of the 9 purchased Either have needles that were not magnetized or or not magnetize correctly. We use these for a Boy Scout outing and it was very confusing when the boys first started out and could not get accurate readings. Yes we tried moving away from any object that might be magnetic please see photo. Many are off a few degrees, others are reversed.

You be the judge
Good enough for 2nd grade Cub Scouts but....Big easy to read numbers. Fun color. Neck strap. Brought kids to a park on well marked, paved trails, they couldn't get into too much trouble.

As expected and great for the money.
Used as an educational tool for kids. Nobody had issues. Well with the cost.

These are junk.
These compasses are very low quality and do not work. We didn't expect amazing quality for the price, but zero out of nine point north, and the needles will hardly move unless shaken hard. There is no chance that our cub scouts would be able to use these for orienteering practice, let alone actually navigate a trail with them. We'll be returning them tomorrow.

Good, inexpensive compass.
For scouts learning skills, great value.
