Special stuff!!
If you are into spices, condiments and herbs and are an experimental cook, you will appreciate the versatility of this salt. I am sprinkling it hither snd yon, sparingly, with excellent results. The key is to be fearless and disregard what could be off putting: it’s aroma. A little bit is great on Florentine steak, just go easy. Walk the fine line of culinary excellence with confidence and hide what you are doing from children and meat-and-potato guests.

Amazing!!!
I am a saltaholic, I have about 30 different types of salt in my pantry. I can tell you my favorites if you would like, but about this salt, I see Amazon now is out of it and does not know when they will get it back in. But this is one of my top favorite salts. The Umami flavor that comes from this salt is incredible, some people find it stinky I don’t I think it’s amazing and I use it for everything. If you can get it by it, it will blow you away. If you find it stinky hold your nose put a little bit and whatever you’re cooking and you will smile and happiness at the flavor. if you can get it by it, it will blow you away. Plug your nose and use this on everything you’re cooking.
This stuff is the magic for great umami flavors. But really important to know that it needs to be cooked into whatever you are making. IT IS NOT A FINISHING SALT. And be warned that it does not smell good when you open the bag. But rest assured, when you use this to season your steak or chicken or pork or root vegetables before you cook them...it is magic in a (stinky) bag. Buy it.

Nice spice for Asian food
This is a good salt for Asian food preparation. It has a deep flavor, not too "salty" that adds background flavor to your meal.

tasty umami bomb
This salt will liven up anything you put it on with a deep umami flavor. Caution though: you have to use it very sparingly as it is extremely salty. If you are used to Morten's or especially Diamond Crystal coarse kosher salt, you will have to cut back greatly. This is probably because this salt is quite fine, so there is more of it in equivalent measures than the others.

Crazy good if you like the flavor
I like umami. I mix 1/3 of this with 2/3 kosher salt (sea salt is good too) for several reasons. It makes this stuff last longer. The textures go well together. It brings the "saltiness" to a level that I prefer. Its good in anything that needs salt and can benefit from the umami savoriness. Super good on steaks and lamb and in stew and for me on eggs. I would use it cautiously at first until you understand what you're bringing into the food.

Wow!!!
I have been using more and more fish sauce in different recipes, and wanted to make. My own dry spice to shake on things, or to make dipping sauce out of. This is great! Red boat is one of my favorites, and is probably the top quality fish sauce easily available in the US, so you know this is good quality.Of course, it's strong, so be wise.
