This stuff is delicious, creamy and oh so easy to make. We love it!I know this won't matter to a lot of people, but ... One of the great advantages of this soup is that you can make it as thick as you want or need to, and it doesn't taste too salty. We have a special needs adult son, and he has dysphasia which makes it difficult for his to swallow liquids. For years we've been crushing crackers into soups so that he can eat them (and Mama doesn't have to make them ALL from scratch.) And he hates those thickening agents. (I have to agree with him -- they're pretty gross!) Well, with this soup, you just reduce the water you add, and you can make it like a custard if you want, and it's Yummy! He loves it, and he can certainly use the calories. The rest of us just have it a soupier consistency, and we can all eat together.A win-win all around, for ALL of us!!

We have tastings with family and friends for our favorite and best tasting long term storage foods. We have done this multiple time, so we don't buy what we don't like to eat. we use 5-6 different products from the top 5-6 brands. Auguson Farms has taken the #1 spot at every tasting we have ever had. It's that good and pretty simple to make. this is my go-to and will always be purchasing more.

I was worried this soup might be a little bland since potato soup can be that way sometimes. But oh my -- this soup has a really good flavor! The potato chunks are small, and the soup is thick. I’m terrible at identifying individual flavors in foods, so it’ll have to suffice to say it is well seasoned, whatever those seasonings are. You can adjust the consistency by adding more or less water than recommended. I followed the recommended amounts of water and mix on the label and it was the perfect consistency for me (a fairly thick soup). I made a small batch (2/3 cup mix and 2 1/2 cups water, which is 2 servings per the label) thinking that would be a big bowl for lunch. It was a little too big for one large serving, but I pushed through and managed to eat it all anyway. 🤣 I also added some shredded cheddar cheese on top. It was terrific for a cold winter day! In the future, I’ll experiment with some additional add-ins (not because the flavor isn’t good enough but because I like to change up textures and flavors sometimes), such as chopped green onion, leftover baked potatoes with the skin on, diced carrots, and/or diced celery. If you eat bacon, that would be very good too. I ordered one can to try it, and I just ordered two more to keep on hand.

Has just more than a hint of black pepper. The basic recipe is good on its own, turns out thick with a solid potato flavor and texture; definitely not wimpy. It can also hold up to additions like canned clams plus its liquid or fish/shrimp, like a chowder. Getting more 😊

This potato coup was a life saver after major surgery. I was limited to liquids only for a few weeks. I strained the potatoes and it still tasted great and was a good thick consistency. When I could progress to the next level in my diet I didn't strain it and it was such a treat. I think it is the best potato soup mix ever. I see the price has increased on Amazon so I purchased again somewhere else. Enjoy!

Have bot many Auguson Farms products for prep planning. I bot this soup to use as a base then add in protein, veggies, etc. Company has good reputation for good tasting, high quality products. I have not had any problems with deliveries or dented cans.

Good flavor, easy to store for long periods.
