requires 2 people to install.
I installed this over a cast iron tub. It was easy to install, the directions were accurate. I had to install it by myself so I used a bungie screwed to the ceiling to hold it up while I mounted it otherwise I would have had to have a second person to hold it while I mounted it.Consider grabbing a pipe cutter to cut the 3 parts to the right length

Fits great!
A little hard on installation but once we got it installed, it works perfectly!

good for the price
It took a lot of cutting and a little drilling but I knew I'd need to do this because my space is so small. Once in place, it looks great and is plenty strong enough. If you aren't handy with tools, plan to get someone who is to help you install this. One reviewer complained the connectons caught the curtain rings. A 1-inch strip of clear packing tape on top of the connections solved this problem. The rings will slide over the connections beautifully. My only complaint was the last step with the mounting screws. They stripped when I tried to drill them into a wooden support and then again into a moly anchor set into dry wall (?!). Had I known, I would have found sturdier screws. All the other parts and connectors were fine.

NOT EXPANDABLE!
My tub isn’t big at all, so this covers it well. But the curtain rod is not expandable and makes the space feel smaller once the curtains are on. If you’re looking for a “garden tub” feel (more spacious), this ain’t it!However, the installation and instructions are fantastic.Another disclaimer: everything is the same color except for the screws that anchor everything in place. What gives? Those are a shiny silver color, very in contrast to the brown (everything else!). I would’ve totally been down for black screws even but cmon. That was a little disappointing. We will have to replace those at some point, they are an eyesore.

Looks great, pain to install
Kit was complete, but instructions were a little off. Just ended up putting it up as I saw fit. Once all screwed in, it’s pretty solid. I was worried since others mentioned the set screw being too small and not being able to finish. Hardware isn’t the greatest, but worked. The anchors supplied were junk. Just used the ones I had that held tighter. All in all it’s a sturdy kit that looks great and matches the shower kit I also ordered.

Pain & Missing parts
I got this a year ago, but after opening it and glancing at the instructions I procrastinated installing it. I do a lot of DIY, including the remodel of my bathroom, installing new tub, plumbing, tile, toilet, sink, etc. For some reason, this shower rod frustrated me more than all that work. It requires measuring and cutting, ok fine, I have a pipe cutter not a big deal. Instructions were clear, but one long screw (O) was missing and the shorter screws that were meant to go through the pipe bracket would not fit. It needed new holes reamed. I decided to just avoid using the bracket (this was an option) to prevent having to deal with that part. The other highly annoying part is hammering the metal inserts (L) into the pipes. They wouldnt go in straight & it was difficult to assemble bc of that. It also needs 2 people or you have to be creative, because you attach one side to the wall then have to hold up the whole hoop and level it and measure the other end to the ceiling to cut the pipe. I ended up using a hook in the ceiling and some rope to hold it up and avoid it ripping out of the wall since I was working alone. I used a standard pipe cutter to cut the last piece & go to attach it & realize I am missing one if the large screws. The other provided screws are too short to attach this last piece, so here I am writing this reviee a year after purchasing. I am hoping to be sent the missing screw, or at least the diameter for it because I already went through every similar looking spare I own & there is nothing that will fit into the included insert to secure the support. Also, the pipe stabilizer didnt fit but that oart seemed mostly useless anyway and it wasnt used since the provided screws didn't fit the provided pipe bracket. One more thing, the screws to attach the metal flanges to the wall are silver and the flanges are oil rubbed bronze so it looks ugly. Ill probably paint the screw heads to match.Surely there are easier to install options out there.

Good instructions, durability, and very good looking
The shower rod is great! The instructions were pretty thorough also. Just make sure you have basic fabricating tools like a Saul drill screwdrivers and so on. Took me about six beers to get through this along with installing the shower. But it’s definitely worth the money. The previous kit that I had was over $500 and was far more flimsy than this $50 kit. It is a thin aluminum now so it does scratch fairly easy so take precautions when working on this
