Ok product
I ordered this drain strainer because the pop-up cover in my bath tub comes up so high that nothing would cover it and catch the hair. This one works decently, though a bit of the hair does get through (when I take it off to clean it I see some of it sticking out of the drain). Because the seal is pretty thick (maybe 1/4 inch) the water has to fill up a little bit in the shower to actually drain over it. This makes it drain slower and leads to more soap sitting in the bottom of the tub after draining. It's ok, it catches most of the hair, but I'm open to trying another product.

As advertised, but doesn't meet expectations.
It seemed like a good idea, but doesn't work as well in practice. A lot of the smaller hair goes right under the strainer, but more importantly, it slows the water draining so there isn't as much force to clear the hair that does. Plus, it's sort of gross to clean it off. We actually just took it off and use a drain snake once a week instead.

It works!
I have a few things to say about this product. The first thing is...it works. It works, it works, it works! I have very fine, thin hair that slips easily past most drain protectors. But not this one. It actually does sit flush on the bottom of the shower and doesn't allow any of the hair to slip past. However, what makes it work is also causes a tiny issue. As you can see in the picture, it sits above the bottom of the shower about maybe 1/8th of an inch, because it sits a little high causes water to pool up around it. It took a few minutes for the water to drain out after my shower. Not a big deal in the long run, but there it is.Also, it did slip around a bit when I first turned on my water from the faucet. The pressure from the water made it slip around and I had to reposition it once I turned on the showerhead. Maybe I didn't have the magnets facing the proper direction? I don't know. Both of these issues are negligible when you consider that it really does work. Bottom line is, if you're looking for a hair-catcher, this is the item for you!

Covers a pop up drain, but arrived broken and still not great
I had high hopes. The good news is that it covers my pop up drain. However, when I received it, the mesh was bent out of shape and one magnet had already fallen off. It still had some adhesive residue on it, so I just stuck it back on and hoped for the best. That didn't really work, and that magnet was actually small enough that the water dislodged it again, and then it went down my drain. Now with a hole as a part of the seal (which is just made of foam), water just gushes to that spot, and so about 50% of the debris isn't caught. Still, 50% is better than none, so I continue to use it.I think a better design would be to have the bottom be a silicone type of seal all the way around. The foam right now seems flimsy and cheap. If this was updated to have a better bottom with no magnets (or even magnets secured with something other than cheap glue), I would buy it again.

Works!
This is quite amazing and works perfectly esp since mine was a pop up bathtub drain with a stopper that is so hard to remove. It fit perfectly and sat in place coz of the magnets and traps hair so well. You do need to pick it up and cleanit from time to time but totally worth it if it keeps my drain hair-free and unclogged.I am reducing one star for the fact that one of the magnets arrived detached and is the only thing i have to keep tracking every time i pick it up to wash it out or move it.Totally worth the money if you have been struggling with a drain that has a pop up stopper.

Falls apart
It seemed to work fine for what I needed. But a few months into having it one of the magnets fell off. Then a few months late r the other magnet fell off -- making it useless.I won't be buying again.

It Works!
I was glad to find this item, since there aren't a lot of solutions for the "lift and turn" style drain plugs. Our bathroom was remodeled using a drop-in liner system, so the magnets don't attach as they should, but it stays in place most of the time. It definitely reduces the hair that would otherwise be going down the drain, but hard to say if it gets 100%. It would be nice if the magnets were interchangable with suction cups or something else for non-metal surfaces, but for the price, it's a good item that will definitely reduce the monthly drain cleaning chore drastically. Especially after dog baths!

Magnets Need Better Glue!
This drain strainer works well, but they need to change the glue used to hold the magnets in. The glue gets all soft and gooey from the moisture and they fall out. I scraped off the old glue and used a better glue and had no problems after that, but I shouldn't have had to do this.
