This travel pillow unlike any other with a revolutionary new design that provides cushy support to the head and neck and is perfect for travel. Features of the neck pillow include a chin strap for additional support, ultra-light, washable, moisture-absorbing fabric, attachment for luggage and attractive two-tone fabric. This neck pillow makes a wonderful, thoughtful and unique gift for anyone who travels. The pillow is distinctive. It is engineered to surround your head in cushy support. Comfy Commuter offers two different pillows. This pillow offers the same excellent head support as the Original pillow. The difference is that this pillow does not include an attached compression bag or side pocket. Comfy Commuter is a small business started by a mother and daughter. The travel pillow was created simply because they could not find a comfortable neck pillow when they traveled. The pillow was first offered for sale in 2010. Since then, small design modifications have been made to the pillow to improve it even more. However, the cradling of the head and neck design is the foundation of the pillow. Owners promise the Comfy Commuter neck pillow is the most comfortable neck pillow you will ever use or your money back! Guaranteed!

Maybe my head is too heavy...
Eh... bought it based on the good reviews. It was ok. Yes, you will look silly wearing this. Around your neck, it feels like a plushie neck brace as the entire pillow wraps around your neck with velcro. I'm not a fan of turtlenecks, so this wasn't a comfortable feeling for me personally. In addition, I have a large head the size (and probably the weight) or a ripe cantaloupe, so this pillow was way too soft for me and did not hold my head up enough. It would be great if they made a firmer version as I couldn't fall asleep with this pillow since my head kept dipping too low to the side. One last consideration is the amount of space this will take up in your carry-on - yes you can try to squish it but it's not very amenable to being crushed and it does end up taking up quite a bit of space, especially when compared to other travel pillows.Having said that, I appreciate the effort and this is one of the more comfortable pillows out there. I just wish it would do the job and actually help me sleep.HAIKU SUMMARY:Oh fluffy goodnessToo deceptively plushyHead keeps falling down :(

LOVE my Comfy Commuter! For me it's not for travel, it's essential!
I bought my Comfy Commuter Basic in 2014. I sleep sitting in a recliner because of back issues, and neck pillows keep my head in a relatively stable position. I've used all sorts: memory foam, microbeads, inflatable, you name it. This pillow is flat at the back, so it doesn't push your head forward into an unnatural position. Even though the Basic doesn't have the non-slip fabric the Deluxe version says it does, I have never had an issue with it slipping or sliding. I sleep better with this than anything else I've ever tried. My only complaint is the fabric. I wish it were some kind of linen, with a cooling foam, because it gets too hot. (I had this problem with all of the neck pillows I've ever had.) I've never used the velcro to fasten it around my chin, maybe because my neck is short it seems quite stifling. I need to order another, as this one is beginning to break down, and see it's currently unavailable, so will order from their website. I'm just hoping the mother/daughter team that created this pillow reads the reviews here still, as I'd love it if they considered the fabric issue and offered more options. I know they tested many fabrics, and found the ones they currently use to be the best, but I'd be willing to buy the second-best if it wasn't hot!

Makes longer flights more comfortable
Prior to a business trip I purchased 5 different airline pillows to test. In the end this was my preferred product. I like the support it allows and the flat back enables you to sit back into your seat rather be forced to lean forward at an angle. When resting on a plane I tend to either lay my head straight back and tilted to the side or against the window and this pillow suits it all!I had my husband test all the same pillows and this was his first choice as well! I highly recommend it, the price is comparable to others but the comfort exceeds.

Best travel pillow I've tried so far.
So far the best travel pillow I've tried. Definitely way better than those generic ones. Sleeping on a plane is always a challenge for me, but this makes it at least a little bit more comfortable. I especially like that it goes high up to your ears, so you head doesn't tilt to the sides when you fall asleep. Your head actually stays straight, but without needing to strain to keep it straight. I also like that in the back it's flat where your head is (so your head can rest comfortably against the head rest) and there's a little cushion at the bottom, enough for the back of the neck to be supported. Definitely recommend this product.

High quality very cushy and comfy.
This product just came out of the box. Full disclosure . . . I have 2 other similar product for comparison purposes. I took them all out to the care passenger seat and , well, pretended it was an airline seat. I closed my tired eyes and sequentially tried on all 3: Comfy, Travelrest and CadeauTo my surprise they all were pretty comfortable. Comfy is definitely that. I would give it top grades on comfort, but I didn't prevent head flop as well as others and was pretty bulky. Honestly it is a good choice and it would depend on how you feel about it. Certainly has a lovely cushy feel. Try it you might like it. I chose Travelrest, but only because the configuration worked for me better than comfy.

Actually works
I was incredulous at first but the comfy commuter really helps get a good night sleep without neck pain in economy class. I do not close the straps when I use it. It did tear in the wash, but I wash often to avoid bringing home germs. I bought a second for my family and bring on every long haul. It takes up a large amount of space, but can be safely clipped to the backpack and makes it on the plane that way.

Watch out for old versions
Buyer beware. There are two versions of Comfy Commuter, one with a storage bag (newer rev) the other does not (older rev). You would think that buying direct from the manufacturer you get the latest and greatest. Alas that is not the case, at least I received the older version. This is a pretty good product, I would have easily given it four or five stars was it not for the undocumented versionitus.

TOO HOT! Not inflatable.
Having bought many travel pillows, it never occurred to me that someone would make one that is NOT INFLATABLE. This thing is HUGE. And heavy. And VERY HOT - wait until your head builds up all that heat. If you are in a hot plane, it will be unbearable. I did not think to check if it was inflatable and would never have bought it if I had seen it.Plus the tiny bit of velcro on the neck strap will not last long.
