Rimmel Jelly Highlighter, Shifty Shimmer shade 040

So beautiful, even more than I expected. So worth it!!

When I saw this after receiving in the mail I think this looks so gorgeous and beautiful and pretty. The pink glitter is a bright neon pink glitter but when you apply lightly it is sheer with holographic. I had a difficult time opening it because of a type of suction the product had within the tiny jar and the lid but that is so the products don't dry out as fast so after opening with 2 pliers when reapplying the lid to the jar allow enough of the twist on the tiny jar to be untwisted to reopen the tiny jar with less difficulty.I think this is beautiful as a kind of glitter primer under sheer makeup and really comes through with a beautiful glow through sheer makeup foundation or concealer or powder. I highly recommend this jelly highlighter as a primer under makeup and as a highlighter for high points like bridge and end or tip of nose and browbone and cheekbones because this looks really shiny.

This is gorgeous. The shimmer is more blue than pink, which was a little unexpected but not unpleasant. The foil on the package was a little hard to get off and once the product settled it was less than half full. Still happy with the product.

The glitter and color were perfect for me. However, the product arrived basically empty and completely melted to liquid.

So buttery soft, shiny and oh so beautiful on the skin! A little goes a long way with this highlighter so don't use a ton of it! I can't find this in stores anymore so thank you to this store for having it in stock!!

Unless someone is looking for the glitter and gel formula this is it I was looking for highlighter it looked awful I put it on it was a disco ball in my face horrible and gritty Returned

I saw this on social media and it looked beautiful on camera, but in person is it much too sparkly for me. From my gathering, it would be a shimmer highlight, but this was more of a glitter/sparkle that’s too much for everyday use for me.

Georgeous color ❗ Sexy & versatile can go from a light glow all the way to a strobing effect. Extremely flattering & gr,8 4 any skintone due to the buildable coverage 🌈 a little goes a long way ❗ I was shocked that a drugstore brand turned out to be better than a lot of higher priced hilighter brands I have tried ❗❤️🤗 💯% Reccomend👍

I love sparkly makeup but I am not impressed with this product. It is Very sparkly, the colour is nice so many different colours from gold through to pink, I also used as an eye liner and have given a lower rating as this made my eyes very sore. Hard to apply to use as a highlighter as I found on application different shades appear and it drys too quickly and once dry I could not blend.

Despite a few flaws, I do like the Rimmel London Jelly Highlighter in 'Shifty Shimmer'. What's a bit ironic is that my least favourite thing is the jelly texture, but I love the high colour pay-off and shimmer. This is not a subtle colour by any means, it's for those who want a unicorn streak of pink/blue shimmer across their face. Now let's talk about the flaws. One of them is easily fixed. They put a foil lid on top and not only does it peel off in small pieces, but you lose a ton of product that way. I would recommend a plastic interior lid that would seal the product and wouldn't waste it. The second flaw is a bigger one. The advertising shows using it as an eye gel, but it literally says on the highlighter 'do not use on eyes', so that's a bit misleading. The other reviews complain that this isn't what they expected, but did you really expect to use a bright pink shimmer colour like a traditional highlighter? They have other colours like that. Similarily, while you could complain that this isn't a 'highlighter' other brands market shimmer highlighters this same way, including rainbow and unicorn varities. Basically, be extremely AWARE that this is not a highlighter for boring folks or those who want subtle make-up and you should also realise that not every product is designed with you in mind. Unicorns and ravers would be thrilled with this. One point they have right is that this doesn't last very long. Like any dewy makeup, after a few hours it is faded signifigantly. But the beautiful colour when you first apply it really is lovely and while I had some issues with it, overall I liked it.

Love it. Moisturizes, hint of colour that dries to a nice finish. My new go to.

had to get refund as it says shimmer but there is so much glitter it was ok for a fancy dress as a fairy but not for normal make-up. It also took ages to get off and I was cleaning glitter off for days afterwards

Unfortunately this highlighter isn't what I wanted, but it is kind of pretty in a "fairy dust" sort of way. I wanted to highlight certain parts of my face with a somewhat natural looking glow, so I was hoping for something with a subtle, pearlescent sheen to it; this is a transparent, pink gel with tons of micro-fine flecks of pink, silvery white and blue coloured glitter in it. IMHO, it is in no way subtle and, thanks to the blue glitter in particular, in no way natural looking either. To each their own, but this is way too sparkly for my taste. Personally, I would only ever use this on Halloween or those rare occasions when an over the top look is called for.
