Ordered these from Amazon and some wine bottles from another site. Made the mistake and didnt check the type of wine bottle, and ordered Burgundy bottles which would allow these to fit. I did have some miscellaneous bottles lying around and tried these out for the heck of it and they're pretty nice. They provide a good seal around the neck and the cork. I applied mine with a heatgun but that was to make sure i didnt trap any water under the cork and wrapper to allow mold to grow. Now I just need to order more bottles to allow these little suckers to fit!

Looks amazing!!
Used to re-cork wine bottles. Looks amazing!! I showed this re-corked and everybody loved it... Cruise terminal did not eve notice....They go on so easy. I use a heat gun on low and turn the bottle in a circular motion, bouncing the heat gun up and down so you do not melt the shrink wrap. Go for it what do you have to loose... This is am amazing item... You get plenty so don't be scared of making a mistake.

Honey....I shrunk the capsule!
I received the capsules which were burgundy but there was no gold grape pattern on the base. Not a deal killer, but strange. The capsules are stacked in multiple sleeves (3 or 4) which is fine but the top capsule on each sleeve was a little crushed. They can be straightened during the heating process but since there are thirty of the capsules, it's not really a big deal. Anyway, this worked perfectly with a heat gun in about 3-5 seconds. I stood the bottle upright on a table. The technique that worked well for me was to slide the capsule down over the top of the corked bottle. Then direct the hot air (low setting on a two setting gun) straight down onto the top of the capsule from about 6 inches away moving it slowly back and forth. After the top shrunk, I then I directed the hot air at a slight downward angle from the side wihile slowly turning bottle, In that way, the sides shrunk evenly. If necessary, you can move the hot air around the bottle a second time which will smooth out any uneven areas. If you don't have a hot air gun, the same process also works with a blow dryer but just takes a few seconds longer. Although it might work fine, I didn't want to use the steam or boiling water method in order to avoid any moisture getting in between the capsule and the cork. We're very pleased with the result and would purchase these capsules again. Attached is a photo of the result.

The perfect finishing touch for your wine
These can be a little fussy to get on just right so they are perfectly straight but once you get the hang of evenly heating them they add a really elegant touch to your wine bottles. We use these on the bottles we sell or give away as gifts and it really provides that finishing touch.

LOVE
Okay we used these over a screw off wine bottle to seal after we refilled it with liquor for a cruise and it worked! looked great. Just used a blow dryer. Comes with enough to mess up a few.

works great
worked like a charm. i used a heat gun. the hair drier didn't get hot enough to completely shrink the plastic. and my wife has an expensive hair drier lol. i used them to reseal opened wine bottles that were filled with my favorite whiskey.

Great quality
These caps are nice quality and work great with the boiling water technique. I used them on 3 different types of bottles & all look great. The color is actually a little darker purple than they look on the site here, but probably a browser issue and no big deal even though I'd have preferred more red for my muscadiine wine. All in all, thumbs up :)
