Oh yes! Must read! Wow this is a rollercoaster as these two main characters dig into deep dark issues and boy does it get messy, but it is so worth it!

good read!
The story was good despite the typos ( yes, I realize the British vs American English) but there were still typos and editing issues. And it was really difficult to figure out who was saying what to who throughout the story. Several times I had to reread the passages to figure it out. That is why I’m giving it only 4 stars. Also, this should have been a duet series, I felt like the story just ended with several loose strings.*Edit- I see now that this is a full series so on to the rest!

Definite 5 ⭐️'s
Let's just say at first read I had the urge to junk punch Jake Thorn and had to take a minute to scream in my pillow, but then the longer I read the more I fell in love with him for Amalie. There are some anger issues, blame game, tears (possibly) and then some oohs and ahhs. In the end it left me smiling from ear to ear at the HEA. Now I can’t wait to read the next book.

3.5*
This was almost really good. It has a good cast of characters for the rest of the series. The “world” is well defined. The H & h are both sympathetic and gave enormous chemistry. The cons? Jake is just sooooo much of a hot head, he’s almost irredeemable. I almost gave up rooting for him. Amalie is strangely both incredibly strong recovering from her parents’ deaths to really weak as she succumbs to Jake’s borderline assaults as well as never truly standing up for herself with Camilla. The real weak point is the extremely short ending, almost as if tomorrow is the deadline so The End. I’m hoping the next book, Paine, is a bit more fleshed out.

Masks
Jake hates Amalie on sight, she represents everything he hates and all of his pain. Amalie has no idea why king of the school, Jake, hates her but she has not problem recognizing the pain she sees in his eyes sometimes, since hers also hold a lot of pain from her parents' deaths. This book is an amazing emotional rollercoaster ride.

Love the merge of England and the USA
🔥 High School Setting🔥 18 year olds🔥 Bully🔥 Touch her and die vibesPretty good story. Took me 2 days and kept me pretty well hooked. It's a series that doesn't follow the same couple. My Personal Ratings:5 Stars: Loved it! Couldn’t put it down or obsessed about it while needing to get to the end of it. Had to share some bits with my hubby!! Usually read in less than 2 days cause a girl has got to sleep sometime. Will be reading everything this author has to offer and most likely reread the series as next books in the series are released.4 Stars: Really Good. Whether the story drew me in or a specific character, will definitely continue the series and look into more books by this author.3 Stars: Enjoyed something about the book, whether it be the storyline or a character but also may have not liked something. Sometimes the book is great but needs some TLC from an editor. May or may not continue the series.

What an amazing build up!
This book was amazing! For a bully, enemies to lovers style I felt for all the characters and understood where each were coming from. That’s a rare find in a bully style high school romance!Jake is such a broken guy but hides it so well in his bad boy persona! His past is such a heartfelt broken one. Amalie is hurting by what’s she’s coming from in England and Jake doeant make it any easier. They keep finding their way to each other and it’s explosive chemistry, to say the least!I listened to this on audible and loved the narrators as well as the story. Now onto Book 2, Paine!

Enjoyable Bully Romance
3.5 starsThorn was my first book by Tracy Lorraine and definitely won’t be my last.Jake is the kind of bully you can't help but fall for, the more you get to know him. With his POV you could get to know the person behind the mask, the hurt and uncertainty he was hiding and the urge to play the role he created for himself. As usual (with almost every bully romance I've read), the reason for his hate for the the heroine is kind of stupid. But Jake kind of redeemed himself, realizing his mistake (with more than one nudge from his best friend Mason).Amalie's story is heartbreaking. I can't imagine going through such a loss and at the same time to get uprooted from the place you grew up in. Starting somewhere new while grieving must be hard and requires lost of strength. Specially when you encounter a bully that seems to hate you for no obvious reason. I love that she pulled herself together with the right nudges of her friend Camila and Jakes best friend Mason, and stood up to Jake. No matter what he threw at her.Jake and Amalie for sure have chemistry and I loved their moments together at the times when Jake allowed himself to really feel. And even though I couldn’t put this one down, there is just an overall feeling that this book didn't reach it's full potential. For sure I'll continue this series some time, because I really need to know Camila and Mason's story.

A bit forced, but ok
The instant sparks/hate that continue from the first chapter until almost the end seem a bit forced, but "chemistry" can be a thing. ..probably.The presentation of the characters' personalities foreshadows what in real life can unfortunately develop into an abusive relationship, so it's probably good that this ends on a positive note. Mostly. The pushy friend dynamic is also a bit overdone, especially when the f protagonist is supposed to have a strong will of her own.Not bad, but not exceptional.

Love it
I love a damaged hero and heroine so no surprise from me when I rated this 5 stars. I love how this story portraits a reality for many of us. It may have some trigger warnings so be aware

Absolutely fantastic book series.
This is the first book in this series in the Rosewood High Series book #1. This book will totally make you feel and the life that these characters have had and everything that they have been through really had me feeling for them both. This enemies to lovers story is a fanatic read and I cant wait to dive into the next book Paine book #2.This is Amalie and Jake Thorn's story and you will not be able to take your eyes of of either of them.Amalie is a beautiful British girl, the English rose and she has had a complete tragedy in her life and ends up needing to go and live with her gran from London all the way to America and goes to an American school her life has been totally up ended and its hard. Losing her parents, moving to America and going to a new school and now she had the added problem of the unwanted attention from Thorn.Jake is the king of the school and everyone listens to him, he is also a very tormented dude that also has had things very difficult and he is also an arrogant cocky dude but he is also the extremely popular football player on the team. Jake has also been through a lot in his life like Amalie has but he instantly takes a dislike to her because she reminds him of 'HER' and he is a total ass. This author has an awesome writing style that is really easy to follow and this story completely flows throughout and she writes these characters absolutely fantastic. At first I absolutely hated Jake and I wanted to throw my kindle he made me mad and I loved Amalie and when an author can make you feel those kind of feelings while reading there books its awesome. The chemistry that these two have between each other is hot and they have a strong connection and even though they both have these kinds of feelings inside each other, I was hooked seeing how these two would navigate each other. I loved how we could see them develop throughout the book and getting to know everything. This bully romance will keep you hooked and reading right until the very end. I loved all the other characters in this book to they are all very intriguing and I cant wait to read more about them throughout this series.
