Ten$ion Vinyl LP

This is a great C.D. it is fun, unique and upbeat. This group is unlike any group in the U.S. their rap rave music is truly one of a kind, they're talented and their Zef style stands out like no other. I generally only like metal and hard rock, rather than rap or pop but I LOVE this group. This album has some of their best songs on it. It is also a good price and it arrives on time and in good condition, I really like that it comes with the free digital copy too.

Love Die Antwoord. This album is the one that has the most of my favorite songs (I Fink U Freely, Fatty Boom Boom, Baby's on Fire, Fok Julle Naaiers), and now I have a couple more fave songs from the album. I love the crazy beats and rhymes. I love how Die Antwoord mixes Afrikaans into their lyrics. That along with their South African accents and unique way of rapping gives the songs a fun and unique edge that I dont get from any rap coming put of the U.S. I love their techno beats just as much as their hardcore bass beats. Great album to try if you're looking into Die Antwoord.

After a high school friend tagged me in a music video (I believe it was Baby's on Fire) with this weird, odd, weird, gorish and weird crew, I fell in love.They were The Answer to my music needs at the time. Of COURSE I did mp3 rip for this album and $O$.

OK, so my brother gets out of prison a couple of yrs. ago and tells me about this ZEF music he was turned on to in the joint. The more I listened to $O$, the more I liked it. I Amazonned myself the CD. When I saw Die Antwoord on David Letterman and saw the new CD....HAD TO HAVE IT! The music ( and the band ) are addictive. It must bring out my inner wild child as I am a 54 yr. old mom, government employee living a middle class- suburban life. This gets my blood moving on the drive to work...highly suggested purchase.

Okay so these guys are just addicting. There's no other real way to explain why i like them. They curse on end, they're overtly sexual. They're silly to the point of "oh boy". Yet they're somehow always on my ipod and i'm cranking it on the frequent. I think the main drive could be Yolandi's voice, once you get over the inital stinging taste of it, it becomes something you crave and need to hear. Pair that up with seeing her in videos and it becomes an even more enticing and, as i said, addicting package. I really think that if they didnt have the image to go with the product they wouldn't have made such an impact, with no fault to the music, it's just that Die Antwoord is a 2 part project. One the music, and the other the visual. At any rate there's 3 tunes on this album that are outstanding. Still keeping in the tradition of essentially dated rave-rap and techno. Which is stuff i was brought up on. Could also be the reason i've gravitated toward it. It makes me feel young to hear this stuff. This album is teeming with Yolandi goodness, Ninja definately does his job like it was his calling in life once again, but mostly this is the Yolandi show. "i fink u freeky" is like a 2 unlimited tune gone evil. Seductive with it's cheesey saw synth riff and entrancing with it's yolandi voiced chorus. "fatty boom boom" is a total jam, with it's syncopated rough and reggae type beat. Very cool cut to bump in your car. Yolandi again shines here with her catchy chorus work in full effect. "Baby's on Fire" reminds me of something lords of acid might have attempted in thier heyday. Big on the Satire side, yet again uber catchy in it's execution. Old school Orchesta hits like those of Apotheosis(man i really AM old) and other early techno hits ring out in full regalia here,making my ears taste the sweetness of nostalgia. Ninja even turns in a decent singing role in this one, sounding like a lower register industrial singer. The other tunes are serviceable and not horrible by any means, but in my opinion these 3 are the pinnacle of what this album has to offer. Ten$ion is definately Yolandi's show, and she does a great job both ryhming and delivering us some gems in the form of hooky choruses. Can't wait to hear more from these guys, and i hope they continue to grow, but not stray from thier roots.

This album is great. A lot of people will dis this kind of music but I Like it. I think its cool and upbeat. The song "I fink U freeky" is great! can't stop Listening to it. The album cover is great too, freaking awesome Looking! The whole blacked eyed angel holding a bloody heart is sweet. This record cover sits proudly on my shelf for all to see.

Original and like no other, Die Antwoord rocks the house Zef style.After you get past the initial shock, you realize this guy can rap with serious skills, and YoLandi and DJ Hi Tech round out the sound with next level s***. If you like rap and want to be ahead of the curve on the material that's out there, Die Antwoord IS A MUST-HAVE.

Crazy South African music. I love Die Antwoord. Their videos are amazing and the music is fun. It's got awesome beats but still makes me laugh and look at myself and the world around me. The various 90s American cultural references in their songs are always good for a giggle as they rap about racial diversity and growing up in South Africa.

Great album! Saw Die Antwoord live and they blew my mind! A very unique group with a crazy sound. I love it! And I'm a metal/rock guy 70% of the time. Ha! Well worth getting on vinyl for the sound quality difference if you're a music geek like myself.
