One of my favourites
Re-read this a year after I first read it because I loved it so much the first time. And it was just as good the second time around. And probably won't be the last time I read it, too! It's a well-written story with loveable and funny characters. I'm a fan of E.J. Noyes' work and she didn't disappoint with this one. Some parts of had me all up in my feelings, even on the second read. This book had me laughing, holding back tears, giving in to said tears, oooh-ing and aah-ing all the way through. As much as it was full of humour, this story also dealt with some deep issues and struggles. I love that despite the story being told from a first person perspective, you still have insight into the other characters' feelings.

It can happen to you
The last book in E.J. Noyes' Don't Ask Don't Tell Series. I had begged the author to write another book in the series as I loved each one I had read. Little did I know she had completed one. I prepaid for the book to reserve my copy. The entire series was an excellent read & this last book brought it all together to a beautiful ending.

Sweet Little Romcom
This was a very heartwarming story. What starts out as a casual friendship between Jana and Brooke turns into a toaster oven romance. And they did have their own little meet-cute situation. The two really got along and connected, and I loved how they easily fit into each other's lives. This story was sweet, romantic, and emotional (when dealing with their family stuff).I didn't realize this was part of a series, but I'm glad the other books are about Sabine and Becca. I can't wait to read their story!

Amazing and sweet read
This is an amazing toaster oven novel. I am left wanting more Jana and Brook. Great novels always do that to me. I look forward to reading other books in the series.

Love EJ Noyes storytelling!
Love her characters and how Sabine & Rebecca pipe into Jana's life. I'm thrilled that I stumbled on EJ. Of course, I just had to pick up all Ask, Tell Series.

getting to the love destination
Great story, showing us how sometimes it takes a little time, and maybe even a revelation, to get to your love destination.

If the Shoe Fits by E.J Noyes
Brooke and Jana are lovely! Their banter from the start was amusing and fun. And I loved the “Cinderella” reference! Having Sabine and Rebecca (from the “Ask, Tell” series) along for the ride just added to the awesomeness of the story. Brooke and Jana’s support for each other was wonderful to read. This is a fantastic book!

Great read
This was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it. The romance is so sweet and the tension building can be felt every step of the way. My only complaint, and it’s more of a personal hang up then an issue with the actual book, is the main conflict between the characters felt really (not sure how to express it) unfair. And it is resolved in the end. Read no further if you don’t want a small spoiler. I don’t feel that Jana being upset about being expected to being Brooke’s dirty little secret was selfish like her sister was so set on. I think that having personal boundaries is ok. Yes relationships require compromise, but to be told you’re being selfish by not wanting to have to hide is unjust. That’s an extremely personal choice. I’m not even judging people who choose that route, but I also know that that’s something I couldn’t personally do without it eventually causing irreparable harm to the love I feel for that person. So for that to be harped on as being selfish by Sabine made me lose some respect for her. It could have been handled with more caring and respect to the seriousness of asking that of someone and still led to the same positive outcome. I do recommend the book though. It was extremely enjoyable and well written. This author can truly weave a story that you can see and feel.

Glad that this one was a lighter reading
With the third book I was really glad that this one wasn't heavy at all to read, I could actually laugh a bit in that one and was delighted that Rebecca Keane and Sabine Fleischer got to get married and finally getting to spend the rest of the time with each other without fear what could happen with Sabine in a deployment outside of the states. And seeing more from Sabine's sister Jana Fleischer was a absolutely wonderful experience soo funny but also caring! I adore her

So perfect!!!
So perfect!!!Jana’s never had a real relationship, but an encounter with Brooke in the foyer of their work building leads to the start of an unexpected friendship, and attraction, especially given the situation that bought them together. Brooke is confident in her sexuality but vulnerable to it, unlike Jana who hasn’t even thought about a women that way before. But there is just something about Brooke that has Jana contemplating all she ever knew, and dreaming of a future she never thought she’d have.I absolutely adored this story, it was everything and so much more!!! It wasn’t like any women loving women romance I have ever read before; it was exciting, fresh and a story that everyone should read. The whole story was cute, and fluffy and gives you as the reader such a cosy, warm feeling, but it isn’t without its drama. I had heard nothing but good things about this book, and it really lived up to the expectations. It will be a story that stays with me.Jana was such a relatable character, the fact that she was having to come to terms with her feelings for Brooke, but also the fact she was having to work on her own personal traits. Jana had to learn to be accepting, calmer, and to compromise, all things she wasn’t used to in a personal capacity and I adored the way she just took it all in her stride. Compared to Brooke, Jana was probably quite a high maintenance character if I had to describe her, whereas Brooke was much more vulnerable but she hid it well behind a confidence until Jana started breaking down her walls. It was a very slow burn, friends to lovers story but it worked so well. Jana and Brooke literally had such an amazing connection, and the sexual tension between them from that very first encounter was bubbling away. The whole story involving a sub plot with Jana’s sister and her fiancé just added to the depth of this story, and brought another way that the story helped to develop Jana as a person and make her accepting and see what the possibilities were with Brooke, because Jana really needed that guiding hand. This was just so lovely, a real modern fairy tale romance with relatable characters, and a great story. I adored it and highly recommend it!!!

Another great E.J Noyes story
If the Shoe Fits is book number three of E.J Noyes’ Ask, Tell Series, but I did leave it till last, and it still fit perfectly. Saying that, it could even be read as a stand-alone, but honestly, who would want to do that? The Ask, Tell Series is one of the best out there, and if you haven’t read it, or plan on sometime soon then you are missing out on some truly remarkable storytelling. If The Shoe Fits is Jana Fleischer’s story. Jana is happily pursuing her career goals and searching for the perfect man. She has high standards and refuses to deviate from them for anyone. Watching her sister Sabine plan her perfect wedding to her perfect fiancée, Rebecca, does have her wondering if she is missing out by not having love in her life, and then she meets Brooke.Brooke appears calm and confident, the world on her shoulders, however, as the two begin to form a solid friendship, the facade she hides behind begins to crack and reality isn’t as perfect as it seems. Jana begins to realise that her wants and affections towards this new woman in her life are different from those she has felt towards any other person in her life, so maybe there could be more to their relationship than simple friendship.E.J Noyes sticks with her theme of writing in first-person which works well throughout the entire series. It makes Jana that much more relatable and allows us as readers to see Rebecca and Sabine from a different angle which is a nice little bonus. The internal dialogue Jana delivers is hilarious and witty at times, reflective and nervous at others, and is what turns this great story into an amazing one.
