DC answer to Infinity War and End Game
Awesome movie. It is so great when a movie lives up to the hype. I love the animation, the story and the action is blood and brutal. I usually don't like bad language in movies, but here it was not over used or just used to justify a older age rating. I think it was done to fit in to the characters natural speech.Superman leads the Justice League in an attack on Apokalips and its ruler Darkseid. To say it does not go well us an understatement. Decimation is probobly a better term. Those who are killed might be the lucky ones. Those that survive have an even worse fate. Now two years later the heroes are gone and the world is more or less destroyed. The few survivors must band together for one final stand.Everything about this movie is great. Every character manages to have their moment to shine. The other thing I love is they managed to link all the New 52 animated movies together. To continuity lovers like me this is incredible. Just a note this movies is not a kids movie. It earned the whole 15 rating. People will be torn apart, limbs ripped bitten and torn off. Everyone must evolve or die. On a personal note I never liked Damian. Not in the comics or the movies, until now this movie actually even made him cool. All round great.

I'm Casual. One of my favourite movies ever.
That ending.. I loved it. It was so tragic. My review will disappoint hardcore fans but I don't care. You CAN go into this film without watching previous films. It's still a very entertaining watch!I absolutely love this movie. It's even more depressing than Flashpoint Paradox.I had only seen Flashpoint, Justice League War, and Damian Wayne's first movie, years ago. This movie isn't perfect, but as a casual viewer I just got into it and I hold it very dearly! I love these characters, now more than ever.I hated Damian when he was first introduced into the DCAU but I now understand that over time he grew as a character. I am sad that I didn't like him at first, I wish I had seen the previous films now, joining the community hype. I am glad he got together with a certain girl, which I also didn't like at first. I'm sad I didn't see these things sooner. The ending... I hope they carry on with Flash's experiences... I loved it!... Thank you.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War
The finale chapter of the DC Animated Universe and culmination of 15 films prior starting back in 2013. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War sees Earth invaded and taken by Darkseid and his forces. The surviving members of the Justice League, Justice League Dark, Suicide Squad and Teen Titans team up for one final battle to save and rebuild the planetThe DCAU has been hit and miss in it’s output and aside from a few instalments never really felt like it was a planned build up for this particular finale plot. That being said this is easily one of the strongest entries in the series and a very fitting finale that fully embraces the potential craziness and over-the-top nature of melding sci-fi, fantasy and horror whilst utilising a plethora of iconic and lesser known characters. However there is no denying the overly familiarity of the story when Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame only recently released and the film still suffers from the familiar DCAU trappings. With a runtime of 90 minutes the film is fast paced and admittedly rushes the opening which is the main plot motivation cause. As I mentioned the narrative is very similar to that of Infinity War & Endgame: several heroes dead and others banding together to survive, mass genocide/galaxy ruling villain motivation, dream-like sequences and some consequences that are permanent and others are undone. However what I feel Apokolips War does better than those two blockbusters is it’s embrace of villains and the focus on varied locations and the separate lives that are led by its heroes after the invasion. The DCAU has never had the most detailed or unique animation style, it gets the job done and it’s basic art style allows for the creators to get the films released more frequently. Despite a few rough patches the film has a bold bright colour palette and the visual designs for the characters are solid. The film doesn’t hold back on the trippy and wacky visuals here at all which is much appreciated and leans heavily in on entertaining well choreographed and brutal gore filled fight sequences. There is some genuinely disturbing ideas and imagery at times, seeing these iconic and hope filled heroes being torn limb from limb, eaten and burned alive, even stitched back together and implanted with metal body parts as slaves for Darkseid are very creative and horrifically effective. The amount of characters on display provides a wealth of fan service and really gives the film an epic sense of scale that you rarely see in these animated features. The main group of characters is spear headed by: John Constantine (once again excellently voiced by Matt Ryan), a kryptonite infected Superman, Raven, Damien Wayne (Robin) and Etrigan the Demon. I appreciate this strange collaboration of characters and that this is still very much a Justice League Dark film at heart, despite the sheer number of characters. Seeing the Suicide Squad fully unleashed fighting alongside Lois Lane and Lex Luthor, the Teen Titans, Bat-Family, Shazam!, Swamp Thing and countless more battling side by side is a undoubtedly cool to watch. The voice acting is all impressive, however the dialogue varies from genuinely witty and funny to cringe-inducing (Cyborg’s final line of dialogue being the worst culprit) and King Shark copying the “I am Groot” dialogue gag.Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is fast paced, bonkers blast of an epic comic book team up turned animation. The action is frequent, bloody and visually engaging. The amount of well voice acted characters (though with some unfortunate dialogue at times), variety of locations and bold colourful art style will keep fans very satisfied. Though it’s pacing is rushed at the start and the plot overly familiar this is a satisfying send off for the DC Animated Universe.

Not a Kids movie!!!
Going into this movie after watching many of the other animated Batman ones, I was not ready for the level of gore and body-horror that was on display in this movie! Go into this with complete caution, that you will see things you probably wouldn't expect.Regardless, this story is incredibly good and keeps you going with twists and turns everywhere. See many DC heroes, possibly your faves, in thrilling ways that just make your eyes grip to the movie. Honestly, soo good.

DC have took it up a level when it comes to gore
Well, this has got to be one the of best DC animated movie's out there, it has a really good story and the animation is done very well. What took me by surprise was how violent is was, I'd say it's the bloodiest one yet, if your happy seeing some of your favourites DC characters have their limbs ripped then you'll enjoy this movie. I'd say this dc dark movie is a solid 5/5
