Works great, but know what you're getting
There are two general approaches when it comes to vibration dampener: either complete, 100% coverage of target areas, or partial coverage. Most people, particularly those with modest audio installs, will get awesome results with just partial coverage. It greatly reduces the vibration due to bass from the speakers and road noise. The idea is you form a patch work of dampener on your doors, trunk lid, and rear speaker deck (aka 'parcel shelf') so that vibrating surfaces are isolated. One thing to understand is this stuff is NOT sound blocker (nor is any kind of other brand of similar product). It will block a little bit of sound, but it's main job is to reduce vibration. Your door panel is a big, thin piece of metal, and when your speaker's bass or the road "interact" with it, it vibrates. That vibration is generating sound, like a really awful steal drum. Vibration dampener helps your car not be an extra "voice" in your music. But what it doesn't do is block the noise from that annoying motorcycle revving his engine next to you at the stop light. For that, you need sound blocking materials. This product does a great job but just understand what you're buying. This 18sqft package was enough to get the job done for me and I'm really happy with the results. In particular, it eliminated some terrible rattle in the rear speaker deck I've been putting up with for years which prevented me from turning up the bass even a little bit. The doors already had some factory dampening and sound blocking, so the results were more marginal there, but still, my door speakers have never sounded better. The bass is cleaner and tighter because it's not being "muddied" by rattles. Overall, I can push my sound to its limit and vibration never becomes a factor. This is a fun DIY project. The product is easy to work with, cuts easily with regular scissors and so far doesn't seem to melt or run as I've heard can be an issue with the peal and seal type stuff. When I was mid-install I had the rear deck cover off and the dampener was exposed all day to direct sun for two days. It was pretty much untouchable because it was so hot, but I saw no signs of melting or running. There's a slight smell during install but absolutely none a couple hours later.Speaking of the length of this project, it can be time consuming. I was familiar with how to remove my trim and it still took about 7 hours total to remove the trim, remove the existing speakers/mounts, clean the surfaces, apply the material and then put everything back. I didn't want to work in the mid-day sun so I did a couple hours a day in the evening and spread it across a few days, but during that time my car was in no shape to do anything but get me to and from work. Just understand this is no plug and play install that will be done in a couple hours.

Took a 2010 Kia Soul from 80 db down to 73 db on the highway
Great product if you want to reduce the road noise in your car while driving. Was commuting on the highway about 1hr each way everyday in a 2010 Kia Soul and the road noise was killing me.Ended up buying a db meeter and found cabin noise to be +/- 80 db at highway speeds. Had to have the radio on nearly full blast to listen and hands free phone calls were nearly impossible to hear.I used the sound deadening material on all bare metal areas I could access, full rear trunk, under rear seats, front firewall, and all four door panels. The difference it made was incredible and worth every penny spent and minute installing. Dropped the db down to 73 db in the cabin at the same speed. Could finally have a conversation without shouting and listen to music on low. Honestly the reduction in noise saved my sanity.Installation is straight forward, just need a few tools to access the panels you want to cover, a box cutter and/or scissors, and a hard rounded surface to press it on. I do recommend wearing disposable gloves as well, as the sticky material is hard to get off by design. Will be using on all my cars going forward regardless of make or model to reduce every db I can.

Absolutely AMAZING Product!!!
I purchased both the outrageously expensive Hushmat butyl product directly from the Hushmat company, and, I purchased numerous boxes of the Noico butyl and foam products from Amazon. What shocked me to death, was, the Noico was actually a more superior product!! It had greater thickness, padding, and density compared to the Hushmat!! The only positive thing I noticed about the Hushmat, was, it genuinely had zero odor. However, the odor from the Noico disappeared after 48 hours. I have provided eight photographs of how I used these products on my entire 2008 Lincoln Town Car Signature L. I need to admit that this was a ridiculously INSANE amount of tiresome work, which literally forced me to take two entire weeks off from work in order to accomplish this project!! I have never been so intensely exhausted in my entire life!! This product actually resolved some pathetic problems I have experienced for years, which is a miracle for me. The front center console of the 2003-2011 Lincoln Town Car has always been known to make a ton of obnoxious squeaky noises. I completely and entirely dismantled it, and applied the Noico butyl on every possible square-centimeter you could possibly imagine. The result was astonishing!!! My front center console is now 100% genuinely SILENT!!! This is literally history-making!!! It also has a wonderfully heavy, solid, and padded feel to it now. It does not matter what movements I make with this center console; it is still 100% SILENT in every imaginable way!!! This is shocking!!! Also, part of the internal metal frame of the driver's seat of the 2003-2011 Lincoln Town Car has always been known to make some occasional obnoxious clicking/popping noises while driving. After applying the Noico butyl later to the interior sections of that frame, the seat is now 100% SILENT!!! I even removed the original low-quality foam gasket material that was used from the factory to seal the connections of the HVAC, and replaced them with the Noico foam product. It made the seals incredibly more reliable and tight!! The total reduction of noise in the entire car has absolutely reduced in such a way, that, I swear it literally feels and sounds like I am in a padded recording studio!!! I can hear myself and other people talk with zero effort, even to the point of needing to deliberately speak at a lower volume!!! And any audio recordings on the stereo sound like I am truly sitting in an extremely expensive high-end studio!!!
