4.5L Retro Stand Mixer (Pink)

I bought this to specifically prepare roti dough - Indian flat bread. It works perfectly and is such a time saver. Simply mix 3 cups of flour, half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of oil (olive, canola, avocado, any), and about 3/4 cup of water...in about 3 minutes on the very low setting the dough will be kind of ready, then keep adding 1/4 cup of water slowly and assess how the dough feels. Usually the flour to water ratio is 3:1, but it can vary from batch to batch due to variation in scoop size etc so gradually add the final 1/4 cup of water.

La amo, se que no es para usos tan pesados( panes) pero es muy practica, no pesa mucho, y cumple su cometido, bate muy bien batidos livianos y pesados de tortas, hasta crema de mantequilla. Por si acaso le doy descansos cada 10 minutos, si la tarea es muy larga, pero ya llevo mas de 4 años con ella y la amo.

I got this essentially to make pizza dough for me and my partner, so it being a little smaller is perfect for me because it also fits perfectly under my counter with it propped open. Cat and coffee maker for scale, open it’s about 3 12oz cans of soda tall when open if that’s helpful.I’ve included all the accessories which is a splatter guard, the bowl, whisk and the little kneading whisk.* picture includes 2 whisks, found the actual knead attachment in the box.Suction cups on the feet of the mixer is really nice I didn’t even notice they were there until I attempted moving it, which came up with a reasonable amount of force it wasn’t too difficult.10/10 over all wanted a quality pink stand mixer that wasn’t $600 and fit my basic needs and all the attachments fit in the bowl with the guard to keep everything together as well which is nice.

Bought in November for a Xmas gift was used only a few times. Started turning itself off then would start up again. Finally would not work at all! Called the number for fridgidare was given 4 different numbers to call!! Never got a person who would talk to me.Finally reached out to Amazon for help and they were able to partially refund and I could mail it back. This was a horrible company to try and reach I believe they know they have a bad product and give people the run around so they will give up. My opinion.

As a beginner baker, not a professional, I'm sharing my experience with this mixer. I've used it a handful of times, and I find the speed dial to be unreliable. It took about three attempts to turn it on, and even then, the speed seemed more like a medium setting. When mixing bread dough, I was concerned the motor would burn out, so I stopped and finished by hand. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't purchase this mixer again.

I should have read the manual to see the beaters and bowl shouldn’t go in the dishwasher. Now the beater attachment is discolored. At least the bowl still looks OK. But buyer beware: they expect you to only handwash the components.
