American Made Cowboy Hat Holder Star

Works great to hold cowboy hats. Very easy install and comes with all the screws you need. The front screws even match the color of the back plate which is a nice touch. Took maybe 5 minutes to assemble and hang. Looks nice and seems like great quality. Would recommend if you’re looking for a way to hang, store, or display your hats.

I’ve got this thing on my wall and it holds my hats just fine - better than fine, because they don’t get bent out of shape hanging on a knob. I see my hats there in all their fullness and easily select the one for my day’s wear. It is a good rack and I don’t care what anyone says. Besides, it has genuine western charm. When I get more hats I’ll buy another one.

Before ordering, I was a little concerned that the support arms attache in a single point and wondered if they would have a tendency to spin or wobble. However, I was impressed when I received the item and saw how it was designed to use the carriage bolt to keep the support arm straight. This item was very well packed and arrived on time. All parts were included for installation, including screws with heads that matched the finish of the metal back plate, as well as anchors for drywall installation. It functions well and seems very secure. I love how the stars are not just decorative, but functional pieces that serve as the nut to keep the rack secure. The star design is not only attractive, but also makes it easy to tighten by hand. I was able to get the stars aligned (all oriented in the same direction) and secure without much difficulty. It's been a while since I have been so happy with a product like this -- it's design, construction, appearance, etc... definitely a great value. In fact, I plan to order another one!

Works great and looks good. Some people asked a few questions I thought I'd mention in the review: Will it rust: I don't think so. The enameled paint on each hat hanger might rust if you left it outside for six months in the rain and then tried to use it, but it's designed for indoor use. Who hangs a $500 hat on something they left outside? Indoors I think it will last for many years with no problems at all. (I trust it to my $500 Silverbelly, which is as much acclaim as I can offer to anything.) Does it fit other hats: Yes, you could use each hat holder to fit a fedora, or any hat with a brim over I'd say about 2 inches with no problem. Not sure I'd put something small like a bowler in it, but otherwise it's fine. How is the spacing: See the picture below. I have a large grape - size 7.5 and it holds my Stetson clear of touching anything else, so I'd say you'll be fine. Can it hold more than 4 hats: If you don't have a cowboy hat or fedora hanging on a peg, you can use the curled hooks to hang something like two baseball caps as well. (I have a trinity cap hanging beside my straw in the picture below.) I'm very pleased with the purchase, the look of the item, and the construction.

Nice hat rack - easy to assemble. Can even hold a few ball caps on the lower level hooks. Workmanship pretty well done but would be nice to have more color (stain and metal) options.

Because a cowboy doesn't have just one hat! My husband had hats hanging everywhere until I got this for him. Takes up less room than stacks of hat boxes and looks neater. I love the rustic detail as well. Very sturdy and heavier than it looks. Only wish they made one that held more than four hats!

I had read someone say it was cedar. My entire hat holder is metal. The metal holders are more than adequate for holding any hat as the metal is quite thick. Now I am just speculating but I would think if you put a wet hat on the brackets the paint may bleed, but I am not certain as I am unwilling to experiment with this. I myself wont' put any wet hats of any type on it. Why take the risk. Overall, very sturdy and is well built/designed.

Before, we would walk into any given room in the house and find a cowboy hat hanging on the back of a chair, on a bedpost, an over-loaded hat rack, the top of the door, ... if you have a cowboy in your home, you know what I mean... Well, my husband loves his hats! I counted them up and decided to purchase two of these to hang vertically on the wall in our mudroom. Now, all eight (yes, 8!), hats are neatly within reach as he walks out the door. But, the BEST part, is that when he returns, he walks right by it and places his hat back on the rack and not on a chair or door or the back of the couch!!! So now, I'm having a hard time deciding... ...did I buy these two hat racks for HIM, or for ME? Guess you could say it was a WIN / WIN for both of us! This company is also one of the best to work with that I've dealt with in a LONG time. They stand behind their product and really impressed me when I had a minor problem with an additional order I had made for my Dad. FABULOUS PRODUCT AND FABULOUS PEOPLE RUNNING THE COMPANY!
